Hey all so I took my 97 v off the road in Feb as it needed an mot but needed some work done to pass, the battery went dead and won't start, I had an old school hks fuel comp and Thot while I had the battery out I'd plug it in but realised I didn't have the map sensor so put it back to standard ecu put battery in and all the normal dash lights and cd player is coming on but the car will not turn over, had a prop with that battery not starting the car before but charged it up and went fine but nothing this time even had jump leads onit but still nothing, got me and my mate baffled and he usually

I never cut any wires mate it just piggy back the standard one unplug the standard plugs put the hks ones in then plug the standart ones into the hks ecu plugs

Seen it but it was 48 a month thot that was a bit steep lol

So I test fitted my hks fuel computer which I bought as a p&p ecu only to find out it was an old school fuel comp but still a good bit of kit, when I fitted it I realised I never had the map sensor for it, so unplugged it all and put standard back as it was and now when I turn the key dash lights come on but won't start would could be causing this? Easy enuff done then what sort of reading would I be looking for on the wideband? Would I just change it till I found one where everything was running at a safe level?

Maybe not so ba after all I have the fcd it's the map sensor I'm missing , how do i adjust the settings on the board?

Ok I've mailed him to see about the map sensor, can just unplug it to pass mot on ct9 and try it with the TD04 can I adjust anything with a afr Gauge would it help to get a fpr with a gauge , maybe just sell it and got for emanage blue

Got done over then bought it as a plug and play ecu that was still in his ep91 at the time took it out when it was sold and he was running TD04 , but that was in December so have no chance now payed 300 for it

So does it need to be remapped? What kind of money's in them mate?
