As from recent post I had new stem seals put in valves all cleaned and re cut a new td04 core from mellet so UK made and it still smokes only when you have been on boost and let off if I keep it off boost no smoke what so ever it's like a whitey blue colour going to go buy a compression kit now so I can test it hope it's not rings runs mint though
  2. Car starts 1st turn of key gap was to wide on one of the pins I've just bought a timing light do I have to warm engine up before I can time it cheers

  5. you can feel the one click under the bonnet but the open circuit relay beside the glove box doesn't click and won't start bridge b+ and fp turn ignition on fuel pump works and the car starts when I put the head on it started 1st turn of key no problem then turned it off for 10 minutes wouldn't start after that going to Toyota in morning see how much a relay is
  6. Open the diagnostics plug and link out B+ and FP, when you sinfo itch the ignition to position 1 the efi relay should come in and the fuel pump should run. That will check the pump is ok. If it does not then the fault could be the 15A efi fuse or efi relay. If it does run then but not in normal circumstances, then it will probably be the circuit opening relay. But I dont think this relay will close until you engage the starter, then it only stays on for a few seconds Found this on gtturbo forum written by wee john very good info just tested it now fuel pump works car started straight away

Hey just put my head back on car getting it ready to fire it up I connected the battery cables fuel pump primed up straight away turned key started no problem I noticed that seal was weeping from dizzy o ring so I pulled dizzy out and changed the seal put it back together now the car won't start I thought it ran out of petrol so put some in and still won't start turn ignition on and still nothing no pump priming I put wires straight to fuel pump and it works could the relay blow that fast if so any one no where I can get one from cheers just been reading were is fuel relay is it behind glove b

  9. Got a set of new head bolts but they came with no washers on but old ones did would I have to put washers on these new ones cheers

  15. always do with these cars lol I would find it tricky to do it with rope need to take head off a stud broke so needs to be drilled out got 2 more to get out and they feel like they are going to break aswell going to put some heat on them hope it works
  16. ye I've seen a few post about some rope or something like that going to take head off won't take long to do then take the head to a machine shop to put them in never done valves before
  17. just looked now there is oil running down the valves some of them are covered in oil so seals are gone
  18. Just took turbo n manifold off there is oil on face of the exhaust port going to take head off now get oil seals done would I need to get the head skimmed again only got done 2 year ago

Thought so cheers ill do that tomorrow with a micrometer I used my car today it only smokes when you let of the throttle smells like burning oil then it will smoke on tick over till you go again smoke goes let off throttle it's back I had a look under the bonnet looks like oil weeping past manifold 1st exhaust port near cam any ideas
  21. Just been reading about measuring inducer exducer do I measure back of compresser wheel or the blades never done this before cheers
  22. ye I will measure them and compare I have checked with part numbers and comes back as 13t this flange

  24. Just looked at the mellet listing that says 13t I've just been on there website and same put part number in and same 13t am I missing something here you count compresser blades right would i have to get housing machined to fit a 13t
