Anyone able to help with the dash cluster wiring...which wires go where? It's late spec clocks all warning lights in the centre

Got it sorted...broken wire for ballast beside the coil

Changed ignition switch no change

Will try once my other boxy comes back

Have a 2e in a boxy here and it starts and runs...but only if I hold the key between on and start once I let the key go it just cuts out... Wiring wasnt touched as car lay up and tried changing the following

Carb

Dizzy

Dizzy cap

Condensor

Fuel pump

Leads

Plugs

Checked timing and ignition timing ....

I'm at a loss here is there any earths or plugs that cause this issue that I may have missed!

Early 2e's were carb but they had an automatic choke

2e to 4e is exact same

Check plugs see if they're whitish/very very light brown it's lean, is there water dripping from your exhaust when it's putting out smoke?

Do it with the car running to create a vacuum, then go again with it turned off

Mc5 Coilovers have a ball joint on bottom all round so definitely don't fit the front maybe the back never tried should have when I had them
