Spent today giving the car a huge clean! Washed, Claude, polished and a coat of fusso! Still need to clean the interior but it's looking nice and sparkles like mad in the sun!

It isn't fully finished yet, I still need to black the tyres and plastics and clean the inside but had to take a break from it tonight! The car has been great so far. Only niggle is the parcel shelf rattles a fair bit and when on full lock I think the tyres may be scrubbing? Not sure!

After a quick change in events I went and picked the car up today and so far on the drive home etc it has been faultless and picks up a LOT faster than the Corsa xD updates soon to come

This would've been great for me to get the new starlet introduced to some of you guys! But I don't get until the 4th :')

So it has happened. Today I put a deposit down on my first starlet!

I saw this pop up on eBay and straight away started talking to the seller to organise a viewing and I went today and the car exceeded my expectations!

The car is a 1998 Solida, so thankfully it has electric windows and all them goodies! It has about 76k on it and the current owner has added a few goodies too including glanza brakes!

The best part for me is the colour and the speedlines! Honestly in person it was so clean!

I will be picking it up in 2 weeks time (my at is being sold on the 4th sep to a friend so have to wait til then for the money)

I know it's quite rare and it's not a bad colour! Just isn't my preference/favourite. But nothing against it (or any owners of)

So as some know I will finally be joining the starlet crew! Hopefully around septemberish time, so if anyone has or knows of any starlets going up for sale I would highly appreciate it! I'm after a stock EP91 I'm not entirely fussed in the colour as long as it's not the pinky colour xD I'd say a price upwards to £800 seems the average. Oh and manual gearbox of course!

If anyone around the Rotherham/surrounding areas could keep an eye out for sales too that would be great

Oh great to know there's some Rotherham people here well tbh it's not so much needing the help it's more of a case of needing more people to sell there starlets xD I see a fair few stock ones round and about but barely any get put up for sale!

Nope! It's a steinmetz grill, they were discontinued a while back, they only pop up for sale once in a blue moon, just mine has the badge missing (bought like that)

That's my plan! Plus like I said the insurance will be £20 cheaper a month, that's already a weeks worth of petrol saved every month

Well tbh I have spent a fair bit on the corsa as the grill is rare for the prefacelift as it is the only de-badged grill the alloys are rare irmschers and a lot of other little bits have been done. I bought the car for £900 last September and if say it's pretty much held that value due to parts and the services it's had whilst I've had it.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of starlets for sale locally ATM either do id rather buy on for around £500-£700 or cheaper and then sell the car and have a lump of cash again after buying a car if you get me! But yeah I've considered it

Things have majorly improved since my last update! I got sacked form Asos with a few buddies (they accused us of stealing, checked our cars found nothing then accused us of graffiti, which in fact was us playing noughts and crosses on an old piece of paper and sacked us all) then a few weeks later they sacked a few hundred people as they had no work so in reality they made up excuses to get rid of people… Anyway! I got a job again this time back in graphic design! I am at a small company made up of three people, me the designer/small printer operator, the print man who operates the press printer and the manager. So I have a lot of responsibility and have learnt so much!

Anyway! the corsa is boring. No surprise there, I spent the last few months looking for a MK1 MX5 but after reflecting after a nice day out with my partner and my little brother it finally hit me I wouldn't be able to take my brother out which made me sad, so now I am back on my original path of buying a Starlet! Which will happen very soon!

My partners 21st birthday is august, we are going on holiday then after that I will be frantically looking for a starlet to buy! FINALLY! plus I checked my insurance earlier today and switching to a Starlet actually drops form my current £110 a month to £92 a month! xD which is so confusing as the Corsa is a 1.0 and the Starlet as you all know is 1.3! LOGIC! Anyway guys I shall join you all soon and keep an eye out as I have a LOT of great plans for my little Rocket when I get it ;) (my sisters dads SR was called the rocket, which is unfortunately sat on someones driveway needing some love and a new clutch!)

Wow it's been over a year since I checked this thread and the updates still baffle me now! xD can't wait to see more of this car, and even more so to join all you guys in the EP91 scene ;) Good job so far!

At school I wanted to be a mechanic, I did my work experience in a garage and it wasn't really what I expected. Then I got into using Photoshop and other software and wanted to do game design/art but I accidentally got into graphic design, did 2 years at college, a year in an apprenticeship, and I've just finally got back into graphic design as a full time job at 19 so happy days! Time to save money, sell the CORSA and finally get my dream starlet

Wow! Crazy this hasn't gone yet! If this hasn't gone by July I'll take it! The corsa just isnt cutting it for me
