  1. So I recently purchased this back box off eBay. It was £50, didn't think it was too bad a price! Has a scrape on the end of the pipe but I can live with that!

Also I went to fit this today to be very annoyed by the fact that it wouldn't fit straight on so seems like it's going to be a waiting job and will have to get a custom setup done to connect the back box up etc!

I think this back box may be a HKS but I'm sure someone else will know

  2. I bought the shocks and springs from him not too long back, took a few days longer to get them but he was super busy. But I received the packaged very well in a meister coil overs box all in great condition and he was very helpful tbh! So that's a shame you got damaged goods

  3. Looks awsome mate it looks so clean and tidy

    Thanks for the kind words!

I have a little update, lowering Spring has are fitted, it feels good to finally have a car lowered! Admittedly it's not the lowest it could be but I am over the moon with it and it feels much better than stock.

But like with all positive things comes a negative in the world of modifying cars! A wheel but snapped when trying to be removed so the shock/Spring had to be changed with the wheel still on.

I have some better quality ones on there way to me and the garage will sort it out for me free of charge. The but snapped off from the thread upwards so it's still screwed on but there no grip to remove it...

Annnnnnd I have this little beauty on its way to me!

Was a nice price has a scrape on the bottom of the tip but ah well!

I have a ukso air freshener and stickers too to represent! :D

Many plans for the future and I am excited to further progress

  4. We're they alloy ones dude?

No idea tbh, they were on when I bought the car and it was on my to do list to get some better and plainer ones but I was hoping I wouldn't have to do it as soon as this! Here's the nut. It's still on the thread as you can see it's just the rest of the but that snapped when the mechanic tried to take the wheel off. They said they'll sort it for me if I bring the nuts so just need some good ones that are a nice enough price!

  5. Had the car at the garage to have springs and shocks fitted as I haven't got the time to do them myself yet and I wanted them on ASAP. Picked the car up today and was informed a wheel but had snapped when trying to take off the wheel. It's still stuck in holding the wheel on securely and they changed the shock/spring with the wheel still on.

I now need some new nuts, I don't fancy keeping the rest on as I can imagine they'd probably do the same centrally. So can people give me links to some good quality ones that aren't too expensive. Thanks guys!

  6. Is there two connections on back of horn button ? Plug one to the original horn wire with piece of wire and proper connectors and on the other one use a piece of wire with ring connector one end and place it between the wheel and hub so bolt goes through the hole and it should work. That's the way my is done. It needs to be earthed. Hope that helps you. I can take a pic but it would be Tuesday as its my day off

If you could get me some pictures that'd be great! My horn button does have two connectors and the boss has a copper ring on the back of it

  7. Hey all, I'm looking for just a backbox. Not entirely sure which I am wanting so try me.

I'm not wanting a full exhaust system just yet as I don't fancy spending that much right now but I miss having a bit of noise so just after a nice backbox.

I'm located in Rotherham so if your close by I can collect if not then delivery would be appreciated!

Open to pretty much anything, as long as it looks nice and isn't ridiculously big!

    Thanks!

    Ben

  8. Recently purchased some Tein lowering springs already on some glanza shocks. I had been planning on changing them over myself since theoretically it should literally be a matter of I bolting the old ones and sticking the new ones in.

But before I attempt to do this I'd like some advice. Is it as easy as it sounds? If anyone has experience of doing this can you give me a quick step by step guide so I can get it done as fast as possible.

Otherwise it'll cost me £60 at the garage to have them fitted when I feel I am able to do it myself. Also does anyone know the correct torque for all the bolts around the suspension?

    Thanks

    Ben

  9. Got the steering wheel fitted today, gave it a few layers of dye too it came up great. But as said before the right hand side was too work down to restore but still looks cleaner than before.

Had a few issues at first, self cancelling indicators didn't work but that was because I hasn't lined the notches up to the boss kit correctly, all good now. All I need to do now is get the horn working, boss has a brass ring on the back of it but there is nothing making contact from the horn to that anyway so gotta figure that out! Other than that the gold quick release will look well when that arrives

Car will be dropped soon! Springs and shocks arrived the day after they were sent so big thanks to JLF!

  10. I know it's probably been covered already but thought I'd start another one up to see if anyone has found any solutions yet!

So, anyone figured out how to make the horn work on an airbag steering wheel yet? Or even the self cancelling indicators? I've just fitted a wheel myself and mine has no horn or self cancelling as it was an airbag model!

Also am I supposed to have a gap this big? Or have I removed something I shouldn't have? The wheel works as normal and what not just don't like the huge gap

  11. Finally received all the parts to fit my new steering wheel!

After cleaning the wheel up it started to lose some colour which is why I have suede dye. After applying that the colour difference was night and day! But unfortunately the right side had worn down too much so it isn't taking the colour as well as the rest but it still looks better than before!

Also! I have lowering springs on the way! :D
