Hi guys I've recently acquired a nice DSLR camera and I've been playing around with it for 6 months or so. Completely fallen in love with taking pictures and editing etc. So these are a couple shots I took a couple of days ago after giving my Glanza V a good clean!
If theres anyone relatively local to me ( Im in Windsor, Berkshire ) I would love to meet up to shoot some cars as I'm trying my best to grow my collection of images.
Feel free to give me a follow on instagram, my user name is sam.miller965
Let me know what you guys think!
There is a few others i need to add but i shall get round to that!
cheers
Sam Miller

Jack the front of the car up so both wheels are off the ground, Spin one wheel, If the other wheel spins in the same direction you have an LSD, If it spins in the opposite direction you have an open differential.
Thanks very much mate I shall do this once we get some good weather 😂
I'm using 75w90 on my OEM LSD gear box will do the job fine
Thanks mate appreciate that it's good to know

Hi lads. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on what possible oil i need for my 1997 EP91 Glanza V. I'm pretty sure I have an LSD. But just to be double sure is there a way of checking without taking the gearbox off? I know on the sticker on the inside of the car it does state I have an LSD. Im just aware that I need LSD specific oil. If anyone could recommend a good oil that would be great.
Thanks for the continued help lads.
Sam Miller.

Can be bought from Toyota
Ah can they mate? Any idea what the part code or name is?

Hi mate I'm after the clips that hold the parcel shelf down. You don't happen to still have them do you? Where the parcel shelf clips into on the car there should be two black clips and I've lost one and it rattles like hell 😂.

Weather doesn't matter at sainsburys mk ;)
Probably a trek from Windsor mind
I dunno mate I'm up for it aslong as a few of us turn up! Got myself a nice camera so would be wanting to try and take some cool photos😊
-
Well the car has central locking already, when you get the alarm, you control it all through the fob which is great , the more expensive toad alarms will also text you ect when you alarm had been set off and stuff like that
Ah I see mate mine doesn't annoyingly 😔 That certainly is great I'm missing that lol. Aw man that's awesome would be nice to know it's been stolen 😂
-
Yeh you get remote central locking with it. Was worth it just for that tbh lol.
I got an auto spark to fit mine, think I paid him about £50
Ah I see mate so did you just buy the kit and then ring up a sparky? Seems a decent way of going about it
-
Me and Dave have working cars now so we'd be up for it lol
I remember speaking to you a while ago mate about yours sounds like a plan guys. Just need to think of somewhere.

Got a Toad one in mine, couldnt fault it 3 years on, was fitted by the company i bought it from
Ah I see mate I will definitely look into them then! 😊 Just want something that's reliable! Did you get central locking done aswell on that system?
-
Toad ai606 is decent alarm and reasonably priced
I shall take a look 😊 I take it most of you guys bought the alarm and then got someone to fit it?
-
depends what your budget is and what you want from it
mine cost al in 100£ 2x immobilisers live tracking and remote engine kill function by sms
I mean I'm willing to spend maximum around £300-£400 as I need to get an auto eletrician to fit it aswell as I've never done anything electrical with cars really. That sounds like a bargain though mate what system is it? I'm wanting to add central locking aswell as the car currently doesn't have it annoyingly!
-
Hi guys just wondering what alarm system everyone is running? Any good recommendations? Planning on getting one fitted in January 😊
-
Glad your happy with them, i hope theyre all good! look foward to seeing you about
Thanks mate I'm delighted with them! Spoke to Tein when i got home and new bushes are super cheap, around £30 from Japan. Yeah mate well once you've got your V all going and that maybe we could have a little meet up? See if theres anyone else up your way thats keen maybe?
-
Looking at getting myself a nice steering wheel. Preferably leather over suede and with a nice dish kind of like a nardi. I may end up getting a Nardi just wondering what hubs everyone is using? I've got a 97' V just for reference.
Thanks guys

So a long overdue update. Today was a very exciting day, I drove about 90 Miles north to meet tyler, BMX-RIG and bought his Tein Coilovers off of him. This is them here:
Although the paint is abit flakey and theres some surface rust they look spot on apart from that. Can't wait to get them fitted.
Also i failed to mention that a month or 2 back I bought a SARD R2D2 BOV off abbott. Its brilliant and i can't fault the sound it makes. Only just have one question though. Well first of all heres a pic of it:
When its on the car it makes it run quite rough. I've noticed the car also chatters a lot more. I understand i probably need to adjust the spring for the diaphram to be able to open easier. Am i right in thinking its the allen screw on the top here?
Any help would be appreciated guys
Also I've noticed that Japfest tickets are up for sale going to get mine ASAP hoping to get on the stand for next year aswell anyone else getting your tickets sharpish?
Anyways the coilovers shall be getting fitted in January and then I'm wanting to get some new wheels and tires before japfest and possibly some other little bits just to tidy her up.
Look forward to some comments!
