  1. Just back from work trip and holiday, cool mate! Yeh shame I missed you. I was looking at the MR2s as I have one. If you're ever up for a meet then I do go to the Sunday breakfast Jap club at Walton Bridge.

Ah right mate that's cool what's that like ? Many starlets? Might have to head over one morning what's the postcode? Is it every Sunday mate?

  2. i just blanked the vac port on the inlet mani :-) i cant remember the diameter of the breather on the rocker as i went down the route of AN fittings

Does that not affect the idle mate or is it okay? I take it it's running okay for you? What do people do with the actual pipe coming up from the crankcase?

  3. Hi guys planning on putting an air filter relocation on shortly to get rid of the horribly long route stock one. Just wondering what everyone has done with the crank case breather hose that goes into the intake? I know the rocker cover takes one of those little filters aswell just not sure what size? 😊

    Cheers guys!

  4. Hey dude, just spotted you on jamie_fyd's beaulieu video on YouTube!

Yeah man meant to put that up on here! 😄 Pretty awesome he's a nice guy man! Was chatting to him for a while my exhaust needs to be louder though 😂😂

  5. Is anyone from here going to Simply Japanese tomorrow? It looks to be a great show. I'd be up for meeting ep82 or 91 owners like. I'm not there until 10.30 though

    Pm me!

    Hope to see you there!

I was there mate! Think i got a photo of you're GT actually! Shame we didn't bump into each other would have been nice to chat starlet shit 😂

  6. I could have gone for a bottom mount turbo kit to further reduce lag but top mount setups look the best haha! That's the way to do it mate, mines still got the interior it's just false floored instead of the rear seats. Send me over a PM mate, sure we could get something organised

Awesome buddy definitely will do once i find out what my time off is like! It looks sick as hell man with the top mount. Is it much more expensive for the top mount from sacha? Just wondering how much roughly all in the TF is over the TD.

  7. That's the thing, if your not planning on going forged anytime soon the TF is perfect, then swap it for a bigger TD series turbo when going forged! I was at japfest this year, always seems to be in the middle of my exams I'm in Lincolnshire mate! Yeah it'd be nice to get a little starlet meet set up. Yours looks super clean mate

Yeah exactly thats what I'm thinking mate. Seems the only way to get fun out of the TD turbos is to be forged. Ah i see i probably have photos of your car on my laptop tbh haha. Well maybe sometime soon we can do some sort of starlet meet it needs to happen feels as though not much happens with this club anymore compared to a couple of years ago. Thanks very much buddy I'm trying to do it right don't want to do the usual and rip the interior to shreds I want to do it tastefully. I can see you're sort of going the same route. Not sure how far lincolnshire is buddy but maybe even a meet half way for a cruise and to chat starlet shit would be good!

  8. To be honest I'd planned on going for the miesters but they were out of stock for a few months so went for the BC's. Hopefully the car will be more of a toy in 2/3 years so the BC's being slightly stiffer may come in useful! I can't recommend the TF enough to be honest. All the TD04 boys might get on my back but I think it's the best suited turbo for stock internals. It'll push to 230bhp at 1bar I'd expect so on the edge of the stock engine potential with less lag than the TD04

Ah I see mate can't believe they were out of stock for so long that's mental! 😂 But like you say it may come in handy in a few years time. I'm definitely interested in the tf035 where was it you got yours from? I don't plan on going forged for a while either so seems perfect if it's suited for stock internals and minimal lag is always a bonus! 😄 Where is it you live mate? Where you at japfest by any chance or do you plan on going next year? Would be nice to see the car and the TF see what it feels like 😊

  9. Ah that's fair then buddy! I've gone for the 5kg front and 4kg rears, same Spring rate as miesters. £700 all in, ordered mine from ID-works but tuning developments sell them too.

Ah I see mate well for the money I guess it's a toss up between which is built better. I've always had my eyes on the meisters but there roughly the same price so I think I might look into the bc's. Stunning build mate by the way really interested in this tf035 route aswell seems like a good middle ground between ct9 and td04l. Keep up the good work buddy the cars stunning 😊

  10. Tell the passengers they can walk if it's a bit bumpy 😂 I've gone with slightly softer springs and I'll probably run them fairly soft as its my daily again. I'll let you know what I think to them qhen they're on and all set up 😊

Haha I would do but girlfriend has joint problems so that would be abit rude 😂 Right I see is that the springs that have come on the coilovers? Really interested to know what they're like. How much where they all in by the way buddy out of interest? 😊

  11. Little delivery came today and they look like impressive bits of kit!

Aw mate they look epic I'm So jealous haha get them on! Would be good to know what you think of them as I'm not sure which brand to go with really! relative comfort is something I need in my car for passengers haha

  12. Right so it's time for a long overdue update on this. Not been doing much with the car except from driving it and keeping it super clean for the past couple of months. Fitted the new discs and pads and lines. That was the last thing I wrote about. Since then I've dewipered the back. Fitted a new gear knob, done an oil change + filter and the cars had a fresh MOT done. Passed without a single advisory! :D

So here is some pics of the bits and pieces I have done..

    Rear before De-wiper..

Used this little bath drain hole plug from b&q pretty sure it was less than £3.00 haha

And literally about 5 minutes later ( probably will be the easiest job ill ever do on the car )

I also made the trip along to Japday. Saw quite a few starlets which is always a bonus :D

A picture taken on the day of my car :p

I've also been given some detailing advice and was told to try a sealant rather than a wax on a white car and I have to say that Autofinesse Tough coat really made the car pop :)

Anyway guys I know its nothing major but its something just to show the V is going strong and still loving it and taking great care of it. If theres anyone up for a local-ish meet soon I'm in Windsor and I'm desperate to meet up with some other Starlets! So give me a message on here or comment and we can maybe arrange something!

Hopefully soon there will be some more exciting updates for you guys

Cheers guys and hope you're all well!

  13. Used to hit mine and they'd come on

I've found myself doing that too mate hahah. It works. Just not sure if changing to bulbs would solve the real issue which is probably a bad connection or something similar.

  14. If it's the same as n/a clusters they take normal sidelight bulbs for the main lights, the rest are little mini sidelight bulbs iirc

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ah okay mate thanks I appreciate it :) Will take a look into it soon for now I don't really drive the car in the dark so I will just live with it haha.

  15. Hey guys after abit of advice. Ever since I bought the car its been a hit or a miss with whether all the bulbs will come on in the instrument cluster. Sometimes the rev counter side comes on, sometimes it doesn't. Just wondering if you all could advise whether i should get new replacement bulbs and what type they take or whether it could possibly be a bad connection?

Any help would be greatly appreicated guys :)

    thanks :)
