right ok keep the big pipe will do.
so what about all the other crap I pointed out?
-
ok weather bad and photos are bad but your get the idea here I am pointing to shit I need you guys to tell me what it is and if I can rip it out.
I know most is ac stuff by looks of it.
so what do I do unplug the two plugs and take the units out with all the vaccume pipes connected to it?
theres that big hose going into the cabin with the one way valve can I take all that out and get a bung to the bulk head
-
yeah hes been super since I joined!
if I seem him at car shows I owe him plenty of beers
-
well engine wont be out till it goes the unit. the more I strip out now the better.
my mate doing the swap for cheap dont want him messing with looms and such.
plus means I got less to plug in and sort out after.
problem I have is I dont have a clear guide what I can remove. yeah got the ac bits the guys have suggested but there must be more.
who reckons I can cut out the AC control box near the fuse box?
-
hey guys
bit of a urgent one
need the wiring for the side lights
mine have been butchered I could repair but would like some unmessed with ones.
litterally the bit between the plug and main loom
cheers
-
nice one ben that would help!
will spend some propper time on car sat.
hopefully remove the carbon canister stuff and lable and remove the loom ready to get box and engine out
more I get done myself the better
-
nice one cheers colin!
anything else I could remove while I am stripping out?
is fuel rail and loom near it easy to remove?
-
well I stick all my throw away items in a box in case I need to revese stuff.
but yeah the AC pipes that you said bung I gonna follow them wherever they go and rip them all out
-
sweet gonna order some bungs
what should I do with what its attached to?
sorry about all the questions its just jap stuff is a compleatly diffrent
I want stuff right from the word go
-
the ac pipes listed on this can I block them off since I ditched my AC or will I have idle issuses?
-
yeah defo gen 1 corrolla 94 its got the flat inlet
yeah I figured boost creap could be a issuse. also gonna run a good dv and filter.
my logic as well is to get a racespec rocker so not building up unwanted pressure.
are the fpr the same between the n/a and turbo?
-
how much bhp you make running that? was gonna run 10-11psi max heard they can handle 12 all day long will be using the ct9 turbo.
carbon canister will be going as soon as I get chance.
the more weight I remove the better. small things soon add up.
-
right ok what are them 3 lines?
just want to make it all simple.
I sticking a first gen n/a in as my replacement engine soon.
is there a wiki on how to stop the water flowing though the throttle body?
I know vauxhall engines well but these 4eftes are confusing me.

it tried to split my loom I gave up in the end.Yeah repairing it is a lot easier than swapping the whole loom, especially if its only a MK1 loom you have to hand.
You can unplug the two white plugs from the fusebox, along with the large red & black fuses just under them, this splits the ancillary loom away and you can fix it on bench easier or replace this section if its too badly fucked.
wanted to test the power for my horn. for some reason mine had some crazy bodge.
will try figure it out soon enough
-
it most cases when you get pulled depending on the time they have to breathalyse test you.
wouldnt think about it to much you clearly checked out ok
-
will need to see some pictures to offer some advise.
maybe starlet bushes will fit in more snug
-
thats not good can you not use washers to fix them in place?
-
my idea so far been black hoses. purple inlet/gold fuel rail and another colour for the rocker cant decide.
gonna powercoat boost pipes and such black to hide them all in.
-
I been thinking the same thing!
so many like minded people on here will keep a eye on this to see how you get on
-
hey guys
anyone got 4efe block lying around? thats a runner. will take a bare block tk make it cheap as possible.
want it to keep my starlet mobile while I rebuild my 4efte.
older gen engines would be preffered so I can run stock boost safely
can collect but nearer the better to chester
cheers
