  1. You don't need anything extra than what you already have. The factory brackets accept a double din unit.

Just remove your single din and blanking plate and attach the brackets to the double din unit.

    Sorted.

  2. I have one of the odb1 Bluetooth units on its way over from Canada.

My overall plan is to run a Android based double din head unit with the app so I can have some real-time display on the head unit, think it will look pretty awesome!

  3. Air vs Metal, go figure.

Also have you ever felt how much pressure 1 bar actually is? I think my kitchen tap has more pressure, I would be surprised if it was even enough to slow the turbo down.

I have ran ct9 / td04 setups for 6 years plus now with no dump valve and no issues at all.

  4. How much coolant do you have in the tank when cold?

You need to have it just above minimum so when the system heats and expands the coolant has somewhere to go, it is an overflow tank not a feed or anything. I have seen people think it needs to be kept at the full level so as soon as the system pressures and coolant goes into the overflow it spill out of the top.

  5. Few things I said / did when I disputed the first offer on my car were:

    • Sent them pictures of my car looking immaculate that had been taken on a proper camera, condition was 100% perfect and told them it would be impossible to find another in that condition.
    • Explained the car had optional extra's only available from factory and thus would be difficult to get on another car and increased value of my car.
    • Explained I was first owner from import and again would be difficult to get a fresh import at a low value.
    • Explain that the nearest like for like car was over 100 miles away.
    • Sent adverts of overpriced car, mainly fresh imports from the like of DYC which are hugely overpriced.

I think I got them up from £2500 to £3700 which was £50 less than I payed for the car 3 years prior.

If you were rear ended also have you put an injuries claim in?

  6. Ouch, get a feedback thread up in their section on here, shame you only really find out how good your insurance company is when you crash!

When I had my incident my insurance company were superb, I had a coursty car within hours, kept updated at every stage, sorted me physio and I got a settlement I was more than happy with.

I actually stayed with my insurer even though there were cheaper option because I know it's a really good service.

  7. Picked up an auto n/a and want to give it a full service.

What is the crack with the auto box, never had any experience with an auto so don't even know where to begin?

I have literally looked under bonnet for 2 seconds and seen a dipstick coming from it, didn't even touch it.

What is this for, what am I measuring and how often should it be checked.?

Is it just a case of draining fluid and refilling for auto boxes? If so on what schedule? what fluid? where does it drain from and where does fresh stuff go?

Just out of interest does the Glanza use the same autobox? as far as I can work out its only a 3 speed box n/a rev's it tits off on motorway, can imagine Glanza would top out very quickly?

Lots of questions but would like to get all clued up so any help much appreciated.

    Thanks

    David
