  1. Just done a DVLA check on this and it's not been taxed since July, anyone know whats happened to it?.
  2. Cheers. It's as nice as it looks to be honest but i don't really know what it's worth, I'll be happy with somewhere close to the asking price. I'll probably put it on eBay tomorrow and see what happens.
  3. Due to a change of circumstances, Mrs T is having a baby so she's got my Focus and I've bought a old Ford Sierra the mighty Starlet needs to find a new home, I won't lie, It's been a brilliant car and done my wife well, she's gutted that I'm selling it!. So it's a 3 lady owner SR, just turned 80000 miles, has lots of history, everything works as it should. It's got 5x alloys with excellent tyres, the 2 front ones are Uniroyal's that are only a few months old (the original centre caps are in the boot). It's been fully serviced and it had a new windscreen for it's MOT in June. Faults
  4. This is the newest photo I've got, I'll try and get some more.
  5. What are these worth? I'm looking at selling this on in the next week or so as I've bought a Sierra. It's in great condition other than a few small dents and the bonnet is a bit patchy still! 79000 miles, nearly new tyres all round, new windscreen for the mot a few months back yadda yadda. To be honest it's been absolutely faultless in the time we've had it and it needs for nothing, the wife loves it but she's having a baby soon so it will be too small for us, she's having the Focus and I've got this Sierra to use instead so it's surplus to requirements.
  6. Aye, I done mine a few days ago, flat back the primer with some 600 grit wet and dry and give it about a hour after applying the base coat before lacquering. Then after 24 hours flat the faces back with some 1200 grit wet and dry and finish with a good polish, should see them looking dandy.
  7. No they are just plain, flat stickers.
  8. I wouldn't bother wasting your money on those Speedline badges, they are cheap crap, mines turned up and they are just stickers.
  9. I got them from here. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251949927370?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  10. I does seem strange that they didn't fit the 1.6 16v lump in the sporter model or even fit a slightly more desirable interior, I guess it was to keep the insurance down and encourage the first time driver to buy them maybe?. As for this one, I've still got it, it must have done about 2000 miles in it now, not a lot of miles i know but it's been faultless and drives really nicely for a cheap, little Jap car, Yesterday i spent £83 on a pair of Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres for it from http://www.tyreleader.co.uk as they worked out the cheapest. The mot is due next month and one front tyre is cl
  11. It wasn't me but we live near the college and also have a black SR, I didn't know that there was another one locally.
  12. A friend sent me this a few days ago from a 1998 issue of Top Gear magazine, they didn't seem to rate the SR that highly!
  13. That's just the light, I did do the whole bonnet.
  14. Thanks, As I'm a tight wad i decided that i might as well have a go at fixing the bonnet it myself, It was pretty well kinked in to start with and the paint had all cracked, I had managed to get the line right across the bottom and knocked out the worse of the damage so i attacked it with a sander and some filler. It didn't need much filler as i got the worse of the damage out, after some primer it looked like this. Yes that's a rattle can, what could possibly go wrong?. Well a bit really, i should have bought a better nozzle as it didn't flow very well from the can
  15. I'm sure you've all been itching to see how I've got on with this... Well, I went round my dads today and we stripped the front end off to see what was bent, Thankfully it was only the bumper iron which i have a replacement off, the front edge of chassis rail was also slightly bent so we straightened that out and also reshaped a bracket that sits just under the headlight. That all seemed to line up better so I boshed back on the replacement bumper bar and headlight. Then after a lot of adjustments with a persuader, a block of wood, and some gentle pushing we managed to g
  16. That's a shame but at least it wasn't your fault. Someone was talking about selling their Yaris SR for £150 over on Retro Rides the other day. http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/175272/sell-scrap-reg-yaris-sr
  17. No, sadly not, I've just admired them from afar. Other than that Silver one i haven't seen one for years.
  18. They were known as a SVX in the UK and Alcyone SVX overseas, I used to have the massive horn over the SVX, mostly because of the front window design.
  19. The VR's were the imported versions, I don't think the UK cars had the digital dash either. This one's listed as having a date of manufacture of 1986 but first registered in the UK in 1988, The owner has had it since then so that's probably when he had it imported into the UK. This is from Wiki.
  20. I've been driving since 1997 and had about 40 cars now. Here's a selection of those that i have photos off, sit down, this could take a while. My first car.
