  1. Yeah I hope you put it to good use, although I love my Civic part of me wishes I'd have kept the Paseo and Turbo'd it lol
  2. y0 Rob, You bought my loom on eBay this morning - I can confirm it was used with a 4EFTE from a MK1 Starbo, I doubt theres much difference between the early ones and Glanza's, as Joz states it'd be 90% plug and play anyway. Cheers for buying
  3. Hi Guys, I've got a 4EFTE conversion loom which I had for my Paseo which i've now sold, my question is even though its a conversion loom designed for a 5EFE, will it work the same for 4EFE engined starlets? IIRC they're plug and play the 5EFE/4EFE engines bar ECU's but I want someone to confirm if it could be used? The loom is going to be for sale and I was going to advertise in on here if the N/A boys can use it. Cheers
  4. Thats a very interesting read! Good find!
  5. no way! That was so sweet shit dude I feel for ya
  6. The V5 normally has the exact capacity on? :S I've not gone for the said one anyway - holding fire til I've got the Paseo plates sorted. I had a look on the DVLA website, and you need documentation to change it so fook that. If it was like 1300cc/1340cc I wouldnt be bothered but god knows why they put 1260cc!
  7. What about when it comes to taxing the car? And you've got 1260cc on V5, 1331cc on insurance?
  8. I've just done a few vehicle checks on the DVLA website for ones for sale on pistonheads. The majority were 1340cc/1350cc one was 1300cc but none of them were 1260cc! 1260cc I understand was the EP71 Starbo? How would I stand If I got pulled/crashed a car thats got the wrong CC listed?
  9. Hi Guys, Had a look at a couple of GT's over the weekend - both of which had different info on the logbook. Example 1 - 1260cc but registered as 1995 GT Turbo Example 2 - 1340cc but registered as a 1994 Starlet 1.3 I'm very paranoid over this and dont wanna get pulled and my car be registered wrong. How should it be listed?
  10. When I find a Starbo - I want a DV exactly how you describe montanajr! What model Blitz is it?
  11. R4W JDM y0! Very nice mate
  12. just cut your brake lines, not being able to slow down will make your car feel much quicker.
  13. This is exactly what i'm after lol Dont think it could be any more perfect if you tried mate, top work! Great results too
  14. I always love arguments like this! Everybody whos got a jap motor will frown on you and say you'll catch herpes if you own a French car, but there is no denying they have a great chassis and suspension setup 'out the box' For me though, the GT/Glanza not handling aswell by far outweighs the reliability issues I had when owning a Clio, although it wasnt a 172 I imagine the performance models being worse. The stealth of a GT/Glanza is great too, which adds Kudos imho. All down to personal preference!
  15. Yeah I know what your saying. The Glanza is so much harder to insure. The woman I spoke to at Admiral didnt even have it listed in their system. The price of GT's atm and it not being much more to insure than my Paseo is too tempting to pass up, thats why I'm changing. OH - and they go like the proverbial! If your gonna go diesel - go VAG (Golf tdi etc.) If your gonna go petrol - go Jap!
  16. Nit picking too - it may well even be over 90bhp now (although I'm not betting on it) as its got the Cat-Back stainless zorst
  17. When I first bought my Paseo, I was 18 had 0 NCB and license for less than a year, I paid £1020 TPF&T As you may know, the Paseo is 90bhp, 0-60 in 11 secs and 115mph Stay in the Toyota family! Whats the main reason behind getting rid of the Starlet ?
  18. Those Nissan/Renault 2.2DCI engines good for lazy torque like all diesel engines. £300 extra is a bit steep though! How old are you, NCB etc. ? If you want an upgrade, you could buy my Paseo when I've found meself a GT
  19. Spotted a white Glanza with tinted rear windows tonight about 8:00pm at the BP Garage on Hinckley Road, Leicester. Have seen it about a few times, everytime it seems to be in the same sorta area! Only a couple of miles from me! Anybody on here? Edit: It was the BP Garage near Dovelands School/Western Park
  20. Yeah, well since you've not 'been around' on the paseoclub they were posted. They were taken end of last year, the last spell of decent weather we had.
  21. Well, here's my current ride i'm looking to replace with a GT. Will be bringing whatever I buy up to the same standard! Clean eh!
  22. Cheers for the welcomes guys
  23. Thats awesome! Yeah I had no idea they were so economical, does the ability to switch high/low boost have much effect?
  24. Really! The most i've ever seen is 300 miles to a tank, but I do a lot of short trips. My average is around 270 miles currently. If I keep it below 3000rpm it'll do more. I drove to Weymouth in it once and it got 45MPG - most ive ever seen.
