  1. Wow, China turbo?

I bought it under the impression they were good turbos. Did think that maybe the actuator was poor. Talking to them directly they only stated that it must be a boost leak, even after telling them that I had tested all pipe work thoroughly, and that surely the only place that could leak after fitting a new turbo would be hot pipe gasket, which was newly bought.

I do feel that it could pull better than the standard.

Would a shoddy actuator give you the sound of wooshing leak though?

I'm adamant that I will be searching for a hks actuator to eliminate it none the less.

    Cheers Colin, much appreciated

  2. Since fitting a speedvision hybrid ct9 imported from the us the car just isn't right. Whenever full boost comes on there is the classic wooshing noise of a boost leak however, since fitting I have replaced cheap blue piping for red samco (red is the scheme I want anyway 😁).

I have smoke tested the complete inlet system with no leaks detected. I am running pressure purely on the actuator itself guided by my gauge.

The question is, do I need more control over the pressure or is it simply that the actuator is poor.

I'm just baffled by the clear sound of boost leak and no power in higher gears after all I have done is replace turbo.

    Any suggestions are welcome

    Thanks

    Tom

  3. Don't know if anyone has tried this or if I'm way off.

    Fitting a new actuator,

I was wondering if instead of continual adjustments when piping hot until correct release is found, would putting a mightyvac on when cold give you first time winnings?

If so, would you set it at desired boost just as the wastegate lifts off or at full opening?

    Any insight appreciated

  4. i also wanted to recommend these guys for over seas postage for glanza parts. order'd up 2 CV joints, fucked up paying with PayPal as in holland its not a common way to do payments.

got that correct and had them with me in about 4 days!

    thanks again guys!

Ordered a cv joint myself along with HT leads. Came next day which was unreal! Joint kit was spot on, even came with new hub nut, crown and split pin. Key chain and air freshener was a nice touch. Glad I got a red one this time, blue one before didn't match my colour code

    Thanks guys!

  5. No questioning their service. Have ordered a couple things from them. One of which took a couple months to arrive but was out of their hands. One of few top guys when it comes to our love/hate beauties!

  6. Feel your pain morgey, usually is a tight crack off then easy unwind.

Big pair of mole grips just inwards of the ball joint will budge it, have even managed to loosen them with parrot nose pliers before. Albeit on different cars but all rack set ups are basically the same. Angle of the provided spanner placement isn't always friendly, grips help with, well 'grip' in such circumstances. Touch of lock tight on your new rod and tighten up the same way.

  7. Needing an outer cv joint. LSD gearbox, I believe the joints differ to standard? If a shaft is all that's about then will take it. Offside needed.

Even better would be info on oem quality replacements.

    All leads appreciated
