Thanks for the reply mate. The dilemma I'm having is I need a near standard GT for insurance, although finding one in the UK is impossible. It may be cheaper to buy one here and de-modify it as it were, although a standard exhaust will cost about £800(!!?!?) so we'll see

Sorry to revive an old thread - but I'm currently looking at maybe importing a GT turbo - I think it's my best chance at getting a non modified / standardish one. Anyone recommend JM-Imports? Or is Flatout imports the only way to go? Thanks.

Hello there! I'm max, from Newbury. Suddenly realised today how cheap Starlet GT Turbo's are to insure, has got me looking for one. I'm a bit of a micra addict, currently own 3 of them. A few questions though. I've found a couple of nice GT turbos for sale, and I want to know how hard they'd be to return to standard. Things like stock recirc valve as a lot have BOV's, and stock wheels etc. Thanks.
