  6. Hi Guys, Help please. I was in the process of replacing the front springs with lowering ones but cannot separate the shock absorber from the spring. there is nothing that you can hold the shaft so that you can undo the top bolt. am i missing something? is there any trick to remove it? As usual thanks in advance.

  9. I think its a negative trigger for the central locking. whats happening is that there is a common ground that supply the locking side and unlocking side. in your case its not getting ground signal in the box behind the foot well to lock the car. bad contact maybe.

  12. Im sure mine is overfuelling take a look at the spark plugs. it looks like its running rich. ive been told that the stock ECU is suppose to run rich. It doesn't smoke but when you touch the inside of the exhaust there is a layer of that black sooth Has any one heard of or use marvel mystery oil?

  16. Im glad that its sorted. after swapping all that there was just the ECU left and indeed i was the ECU.

Hi Guys, Quick update, ive checked all the relays and all off them are in good shape. resistance across the coils was around 87 to 89 ohm and the contact wasn't burnt. ive open all of them. the only relay with a black contact was the MG CLT relay under the bonnet but its got nothing to do with ignition its for aircon. after doing some research i found out that the EFI wouldn't trigger until it senses 300 rpm. so for my situation im thinking when the engine is cold and the starter is cold is easy to get 300rpm and it turns on straight away but when the engine is hot the starter get a heat

  19. i heard that but never tried it. bridge the TE1 and E1 on a warm engine set the idle to 700 rpm by adjusting the scew on top of the intake manifold once idle is at 700 check if the timing is 10 degrees BTDC Am i right? anyone?
  20. Just an update, ive bridge the TE1 and E1 and start the engine when it was hot and it started straight away. does that mean anything?
