Car is not much to look at.
What pictures would you like to see?
Cheers Seed/Idree's.
-
Not bad eh.
Will you get import tax?
-
Not been off the road mate no.
Car was still used everyday while block was built up. I had a spare one going...
TRD LSD is next and some 15" rims with Eagle F1's + plenty of track days
-
Nice looking engines.
You could not find anyone in the UK to do this for you???
-
Hi all,
Thanks go out to Pete at www.autofixed.co.uk for fitting more or less everything on my car and building my forged block.
Cheers to Matt and the team at www.theracingline.co.uk for mapping my car previously and today.
The RR prints can be viewed below and these were the results.
265 flywheel HP
223 wheel HP
- Please note, on the flywheel RR print you will notice a sudden loss of boost. This was down to the intercooler pipe blowing off at high boost. It would not of made anymore power anyway.

How much you selling the injectors for?
-
why will it blow quickly then?
Ever heard of Kitaro mate?
If not, do a search here and on TGGT.com

If you cooling system is in order, your water temp should not even get to boiling point, so dont see how they will cause problems unless the cooling system was shagged in the first place.
Obviously if it is getting its arse rapped on track, then temps may raise above boiling, which is where the cap would then start to make use of itself.
-
There are EP's in Jap Land that have got 11 sec QTR's too.
-
Will be fitted ASAP.
Thought I better look after the forged block after spending £000's on it.

How about Adaman's old glanza? that was pretty modded wasn't it? Also there is a glanza down my way, he running 250hp on his glanza, but i dunno what sorta times he got at 1/4 mile.
I hope to run some good times next year.
-
Yeah mate, here.
-
Your car is fekin awsome. I'd love another ride in that car anyday, an dont worry I have'nt forgot about the video at Huddersfield. I will get it sent to you as soon as possible.
Alex
Don't forget to send it me!
You can have another ride mate. Next time you get a ride it will be fully forged running 1.4+bar of boost on the TD04L
-
how diffrent are the ratios?
Ratio's are longer.
I drove with a N/A box in my Glanza and the ratio's were so short!
-
Probably enough to buy 3 V's
Bought so many parts..not fitted...sold them on...lost money. Dam, changed from WEPR TD04 kit to Dale kit even now!
Learnt so much, I will save money when modding my next car!
-
Yeah mate, mild steel jobbies. Also leaves me clearance for stock rad or uprated rad the same size, like SARD.
Engine SHOULD be in by end of next month.
-
As the new engine is going in shortly, I thought it was only fair to wack on a newer, low milage TD04L turbo.
This one if off a 2005 WRX, with less miles

Finally got my lightened crank pulley!
Going to Autofixed.co.uk tomorrow to drop my Ross pistons, Pauter rods, Ivan paddle clutch and the pulley off to be balanced along with the flywheel, crank etc...bored,skimmed,bearings all included within the machine work.
Been advised thou that I will need the rods bolts, flywheel bolts and crank bolts to go with the balancing and it is best to use new parts. Will these be stock bolts even thou I'm using Pauter rods? Part numbers anyone!
Here are some pictures of the crank pulley.
I'll try get pictures of the block when I'm there tomorrow.
And random picture of my steering wheel and boss kit.

Dropped my stuff off...let the work commense
And here is what caused me to forge:
Just bought these do as part of the build.
The funny raspy sound I am getting....I have been advised that this could be possibly pistons rings. Therefore I need to get a leak down test done.
25/07/07
While doing an oil and filter change today (fucking filter!), I changed the rocker cover gasket also as this seemed to be leaking. All is fine now.
Idree's gave me a hand too, would of been fucked without his filter chain
Took some pictures while the cover was off...nothing to report I don't think? Wouldnt know what I was looking for if there was

Cruise Valve Springs are here.
£109.00 shipped and no custom charges
Small update- 25/08/07
Speedvision Headgasket
05/09/07 Update!
Here is the mild steel manifold and downpipe, which enables me to keep stock rad or use uprated unit such as SARD.
Should also hold up to cracking a lot more than stainless steel. They are also being sent to be ceramic coated
I know there is a lot of arguments between mild and stainless, but I've opted for this setup for the reasons above.
Anyway, thanks Dale!
My WEPR bits will be for sale after the build, don't know when this will be, so no PM's please!

Shot of the whole kit.
Few parts for the engine build ordered from Camskill. Saved over £140 on these parts alone. Tensioner, pulley, dizzy cap and rotor arm, water pump.
Few more parts for engine build. Opted for Toyota parts this time as it included full engine gasket set and head bolts amongst other bits and pieces.
A few more parts are on their way, such as new injectors, TRD lead, NGK Iridium plugs and Power Enterprise cambelt.
Last few parts dropped off at Pete's:
Not long to go now. If everything goes to plan, engine will be in before end of next month!
Just need to find somewhere to map it now...

Only managed to fit the top hose, the bottom hose is NO WHERE NEAR long enough. I am using a WEPR rad, but it still used the stock rad hoses.
Think I will email them to complain, but take a look at the pictures. The rad I am using is in stock position, and does not need longer hosing? I dont think so personally, but its ages since I seen stock setup.
02/04/07
Bought a SARD thermostat and some Samco Super Flex hose for the bottom rad hose, as the Zena Racing hose was too small!
Changed the thermostat only to find I already have a SARD thermostat fitted!
The bottom hose fitted without issue, just needed to be cut to fit.
While under the hood, I spotted that my water outlet hose from the block to the turbo was leaking some coolant, which was boiling over. It appears the hose was touching the turbo a little and melted, causing a small leak.
This really should of been braided, so I have ordered some braided hose to replace it.
And while I am updating, here are a few pictures.

Got rid of the stereo as it weighed too much

New part arrived.
Its a 5 PUK brass sprung padel clutch from Ivan. Not sure on the make, must be top secret or something...
It reportedly is holding 350bhp ATW's on a 5E.
Just need to order a ali crank pulley then the machine work and balancing can commense.
And here are a few pictures of my car with the Glanza rims sprayed in black.

Few things gone on recently are:
C-Pillar brace
Evo 5 seats on proper rails
Engine damper
Carbing cooling plate.
Also still got a 99 spec bumper and lips to go on:

Went to the RR day I organised today and got another run.
Now, the boost has dropped a bit, as it over boosted on the road, so my print out shows a loss of 4bhp, pah, no big deal.
However, 3 degree's of timing have been put in the map and I use V-Power instead of Optimax.
The torque reading has gone of from 200 to 250!?

Just bought this:
Remote switch for my GReddy boost controller. Should be able to floor it in low boost with wheel spin, then once got full grip, press the switch on steering wheel and WOAH high boost
Only £50. Lovely US exchange rates.

This is why I have no oil pressure on start up.
Here is the oil pump:
And here is the block where the pump seals
The block and the pump are scored to hell, so basically, new engine.
15/01/07
Well, got these today:
21/03/07
Few bits to go on:
I have 3 cheapo gauges in my JDM at the moment, but these will be replaced by the following GReddy 52mm gauges:
Oil temp
Oil pressure
Boost
I also have a control unit that will enable me to use peak warning functions.
I plan on relocating my heater controls and installing the gauges in their place in carbon fibre. The control unit, turbo timer and boost controller will be installed in the DIN panel where the stereo is usally situated. These would also be in carbon fibre.
Zena Racing Silicone Rad Hoses
Not only will these brighten up the engine bay abit, they should also help with the cooling.
The quality appears top notch, so hopefully they will perform as good as they look.
Will let you know once they are fitted.

Well, as time went on and miles got higher, I eventually blew the thing up, lol. Bent a rod:
Well, bought a new engine and put the new turbo kit I had stored away on!
And paddle clutch:

Things were OK for a while. I went through a few stainless manifolds, ran 1bar on the standard CT9 turbo.
I then hit a wall, crusing in the countryside at 3mph, lol. I was on low beam! Smashed some of my bumper, a fog light and water bottle.
So, out came the fogs, new water bottle in!
After stripped the interior, I thought: "Why do things by halfs?" and the car ended up like this!
Complete stripped out, no carpet and back to 14" light weight rims!
-
So...when I first bought my Glanza, it started out like this (Don't laugh):
It came off the boat with some crappy side skirt, dodgy jap rusting exhaust, HKS filter, fuel cut defencer, HKS springs and Razo light weight 14" rims.
Well, next came along:
FMIC, Buddy Club 15" rims, D2 coilovers, rear struct brace, stainless steel exhaust including decat, uprated discs and pads amongst other things:
-
A few of his manni's have cracked. However, a lot of variables are involved.
Stainless has better flow characteristics, but holds heat longer than mild and is not good with expansion.
Mine has been on for well over a year and neither the manifold or downpipe have cracks.
I did invest in TRD engine mounts and an engine brace before hand thou.
As above thou mate, fueling is the main thing.
