  1. So doing rear wheel bearings in preparation for new rear brakes and came across the absolute monstrosity 😡🙄 fair to say rear axle off in the bin

Don’t know how one could be so lazy and in turn ruin the axle. So if anyone has one please hit me up!

in better news tyres turned up for the advans!

decided on NS-2R seeing as they don’t make proper AD08R anymore, I would’ve liked r888r or ar-1 but I don’t think I’ll be on track enough to warrant these. So for about £250 odd I cannot complain 👍🏼.

  2. Hi all, having problems regarding sump, oil pickup and dipstick on my 5efe bottom end.

my dipstick is from a 4e, my sump and pickup are from a 4e but for some reason my dipstick is hitting the sump baffle before seating properly.

    Really odd one,

I believe my sump and pickup is from a glanza. And my dipstick from a GT. Any advice ?

No messing around. Shell is looking bang tidy now!

Roll on the boost, I look forward to seeing it at a cruise this year dude!

Cheers matey, I can’t wait to get it back out cruising and going to meets. it’s been so long and I’m starting to miss it more than ever now.  Good to see the 2zz glanza being revived also, looking forward to seeing what’s in store for it soon!

Great progress mate. Only owned mine 10 months and it’s never been On the road so I can imagine the feeling after two years. I’ve got some willwood four pots that I’m considering selling it you’re interested. They have the correct mounting brackets and have braided lines plus the two piece disks

Cheers buddy, at points it feels like I don’t even own the car.

yes I’d be interested in the wilwoods mate fire me a pm over and some pics.

  5. Good day, got to be coming up 2 year since this cars had an engine in so I’m pretty buzzing. Getting closer by the day to first start up! Hopefully 4-6 weeks and it might be moving under its own load.

No LSD for the time being as I want to start buttoning it up, I’ve been searching around for a box but no luck so it can wait. Also on stock brakes. These will be sorted before it goes for power runs on the dyno. I just want it running now so I can start bedding the engine in and get any teething problems out the way.

also if anyone’s running a twin rear entry intercooler like myself, please send me engine bay pics for some inspiration on where to fit my radiator🤣 thanks in advance!

Haven't read a full build thread in ages. Fantastic MK2.

Martins GT was very quick with that turbo kit on mate, you'll love it.

What sort of ECU are you going to be running?

Those pistons make things interesting, tell the mapper to take great care.

Thanks mate and we’re still a bit to go before the threads done. Ye I watch them YouTube vids on repeat of him beating gtr’s and Audi r8’s and that was before it went for big power!

Haltech elite 1000 will be run, and pistons were mappers choice really, same place who tuned martins in fact, so should be allllll gooood 🙂

  7. Been a while but still here and still tinkering.

Pretty much got the exterior of the car finished, wet sanded & polished the headlights and finally got hold of some seals for the taillights sourced and provided by Dan @ DJR imports 👍🏼.

Also got the intercooler sat in position and mounted up ready for the motor to go in so I can get measurements for the charge pipes.

Now I’m on the fence wether to leave the front bumper fully cut how I bought it or to fill in either side of the intercooler as I think it leaves the front exposed a bit too much.

also for those with a sharp eye will notice I’ve spent more money on things I don’t need and added another set of jdm wheels to collection 🤣 15x7 Work Ewing RS-alpha

Been pestering a lad I know for 3 years to buy these and he finally caved in so pretty buzzing and can’t believe how well they sit on the car.

I Definitely need a better intercooler setup I'm using water misted over the front ATM to get the core temp and charge temp I'm targeting.

I'll have to get the number of the company that made this for you.

    @RW developments uk on instagram.

    or http://racework-developments.co.uk/

  10. Busy day for the starlet!

ITEC intercooler core, one of the top cores money can buy finished off @ RW Developments to suit, twin back door tanks welded on. These mean minimal intercooler piping is needed, this leads to less turbo lag hoping to provide me with a broader powerband on boost!

and the final piece to the exterior puzzle. The one body part I have been after since I got the car in March 2018. Livesports spoiler

  11. Popped to the unit to see the car today, fully painted now, just the sideskirts were coming out the booth as I arrived so hopefully pick up the car next week and bring her home. Still waiting on spoiler and the odd little bit but soon it’s time to start buttoning the car back together! D0AF8E7E-4BA6-4C42-9783-928D86BC1B4C.thumb.jpeg.1166e97683eb3cfe7e9a4048a9e2af79.jpeg
maybe this lip is not everyone’s cup of tea, but the exterior wise the EP82 is a very limited car, let alone front end so I was happy to get something to make it look a bit more aggressive, and now I think it looks mega!
