  1. Yeah mate that was me, definitely made my day seeing it
  2. ahh okay, well either way if i'm out, i'm always on the lookout for starlets
  3. good stuff man, i'll be keeping my eye out for ya
  4. I mean I had a set on the ep91 and they were perfect, might have just gotten a bad one or something.
  5. This is where i had my issue on the driver's side, but it could be twisted/bent a little. And the door frame is just a little too shallow for the provided clips, only had issues on the driver's side again when i've had the window down.
  6. when I get a chance I'll try to snap a few pics, but i've found them to be imprecisely made, as in the passenger one fits perfectly but the driver's side is just short, and we had to make a few modifications so they would actually sit in the frame.
  7. thanks man, and yeah I feel lucky to have one, they're all getting rarer now mate
  8. Saying that though, they're nimble enough to let you take corners at a good enough speed, the SR was bundles of fun going round cadwell on T1R's.
  9. no worries mate, I always considered my black SR as my first car as my other was essentially a glorified shopping trolley lol. but yeah mate, if i could've kept that black SR I would have as I had quite a few memories tied up in it, enough fun to be had with 74hp.
  10. Update time with good news, the misfire has been solved, looked like a lead was shorting onto the plug itself. This was on cylinder 1, i'm assuming that's why this plug has a scorch mark on it And cylinder 4's lead was weak on top where it sits on the cam cover, noticeably harder to remove as it felt a lot weaker than the other leads. But got the new grade 7 plugs in and KV85 leads, looks a bit nicer now despite the cam cover long overdue a repaint. another small thing to add is rear brake pads and rear passenger disc was replaced.
  11. this is fantastic mate, good luck with putting her back on the road, and even with the bits that are an issue, she still looks to be in great condition.
  12. The mk3 certainly grew on me overtime, I always liked the mk2 as my mum used to own the grey auto one bean now owns around 6-8 years ago and maybe further on, but I really like mk1 GT's as well. It's a shame that they're getting few and far between now, but it's how it has all gone mate.
  13. Yeah I'll definitely take both sides off and look closer at them, I'm hoping it hasn't gotten very serious, especially on the passenger side, where i can see it above the skirt. And yeah it's definitely the small things man, cheers.
  14. Update time, the NGK leads arrived along with my oil filter and spark plugs later last month, but the issue was that I noticed the lead diameter is too small, kind of like an oem+ sort of lead as they're only 5mm, but they'll end up on my mum's auto glanza so i'm okay with it. Got a bit of a rust situation that has shown itself more recently too, but as winter comes, i'm hoping to restore her a little as the bodywork really isn't great and i'd like to get her under sealed. As for other things too, I ended up buying some KV85 leads for maybe later down the line, and bought the mk3 gr
  15. Used to have a green 80 before I could drive, then had a couple 91's including an SR, now I have an 82 GT. Welcome to the forum though mate, she's clean
  16. I'll have to check that, I reckon I know which lead it's happening on, or at least on which cylinder it's on
  17. Small update for the GT. So for a couple of months, it has had a small misfire whenever i booted it in second gear, first seemed okay and third onward seems to show no issues when boost came on. I ended up buying the NGK HT leads from nengun and some new Grade 7 Spark plugs from fensport to hopefully resolve the issue
  18. Hi there, just wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with NGK's run of HT leads, and if they're either as good or better than magnecor's lineup of leads. They will be going on a TD04 setup at 1.1 bar if this changes anything.
  19. Hi mate, for some reason I can't open a DM to you on here, won't allow me to add anything in the text box
  20. Lovely little GT there mate, can't wait to see what's done to her.
  21. The work has been done to her and she's running beautifully again. only headache I had after was for some reason, the guy working on it tried moving the pipe that went from the expansion tank to the rad so the writing was facing the correct way on the expansion bottle top. ended up kinking it and then rested on the power steering pulley, slicing it. so I had to cut that bit out and put a small metal fitting in the centre for now, will get another pipe soon though.
  22. Cheers mate, when the weather gets more predictable, i'll start doing more stuff to the underside, just need a proper look under and start listing bits that may need replacing or coating.
