Ta Kara. Looking forward to seeing your sleeve progress. Oz

lol true. I suppsose its also for asthetic reasons, plus an excuse to not have passengers! Spoke to Sky, they said I should inform them if i do it, but they *think* it shouldnt affect my policy. Oz

Lolz That was it looking fresh and bald. Bit hairier now lol Oz

Well its a really neat job Im off to check Bourkeys out now... Ive seen a 15" Oz white superturismo on ebay going silly cheap....well tempted to have it for a spare. Would look nice mounted in the back. Only thing is my ebay account is playing up (cant login), and ebay havent got back to me yet. Oz

Thats exactly the conclusion I came to. Admittidly, Ive only had the AI606 for a week, but it seems really good, and hasnt false triggered once. Understanding the led colours and flashes takes a while lol. Had mine fitted by "Southern Car Security", the guy on ebay thats super cheap. The reason he's so cheap is he does up to 50 of these alarms a month, so buys the systems in MASSIVE bulk from toad. Top guy, comes well recomended. Oz

Hmmmm, Well I think Ill think on it lol! I dont need anymore headaches come MOT time(decat anyone?) Phil (nanglebadger), seeing your boot was kinda of my inspiration for doing this, amazing car Oz

Nice tats people! Thought Id show my leg (with no skin left lol). Knee pit=PAIN! (the lower section background, behind the stars, is a coverup, hence why its a bit darker) Oz

Hahahahahahahahahaha! What a crap driver, all over the road, crunching gears, and then god knows what he was thinking going into that roundabout! Its FWD man, sort it out! lolz

Thats what I was worried about. Im with sky so will give a bell tomorrow and see what they say. Oz

Cool. So did you "inform" your insurance company at all? I take it you felt no difference in performance from removing them then? Oz
-
Hi chaps. I never really have any passangers in the back of my car, so am debating removing the rear seats. Does anyone know if doing so affects the insurance? Also, is it a worthwhile idea in terms of weight loss? Did a few searches but couldnt find anything. Cheers pps. Oz

I was told 16. But I dont think they have a clue tbh. Oz

Had a straight thru decat'd powerflow exhaust made, cant remember the core tho. BMC induction kit with modified cold air feed, and remapped. Think I have a pic of the induction kit somewhere! Was considering a new mani and headwork. That should of put it in the 120ish mark as apparently the heads are quite restrictive, as are the manifolds. Love the Glanza tho, I think the only thing I miss of the pug was the stereo! Had focal components front and focal coax's in the rear, with focal sub and amps. Oz

Looks really clean and classy IMHO its too low tho, but hey thats only my 2p! I had a vtr engine in my old pug, get a glanza mate, I garantee you wont regret it the first time you hit boost. Oz :edit: by the way, my vtr (mk1 black rocker top) engine was tuned to 110bhp and about 140lbs of torque, so (standard) vts/gtis never had a look in. VTR<4efte :harhar:

Good to know! Still be fun to watch one dissapear! Before this I had a pug 106 (not GTI) with a vtr engine, custom made induction/cool air intake/ custom exhaust/ custom remap et etc, and its not even funny how much faster this car is. My pug ate VTS/ 106 gti's for breakfast, so i just dont bother with those kinds of cars in this. Oz
-
Ditto. Although, Id like a go against a 306 gti-6. My V's fairly standard tho (145bhp). Ive had a go with a celica the other day that was done in that garish red and orange with purge kit etc...was almost disapointed how quick he disapeared in the mirror lol lots of roundabouts for me to overtake on tho Oz

Nice mate! Looks great in that colour. Oz

Yeah, bit better than the hubcaps on her when you saw it lol! Gone for a ep82 eh? quality! bet you cant wait for booooooosssst!! Thanks for all your suggestions. Was frozen today, so let the car run for 10mins, threw a couple of buckets of warm water over the rear wheels, a bit of rocking back and forward and hey presto! Cheers chaps! Oz

Fair point mate. by the way, met you last year at the RR session, gutted to read about your car. Looked awesome in the flesh and had a lovely exhaust note. hope nows the time to get another starlet and get the 4efte in the bastard lol! OZ

LMFAO!!! SO you guys just free it up "manually"? Ive read people put greese/wd40 down the line, you guys think thats a bad idea then? i think the idea is that if you can pack out the space between the line and the cable, theres nowhere the water can get in a freeze. Glad to hear its not just my glanza. So many little problems with her, startin to get me down. Oz

Hi guys. Over the last couple of arctic temperatured nights my handbrake seems to freeze on. When I release the lever, the cable feels slack. Ive done a bit of googling, and found it seems to be a common problem with water getting in the cable and freezing. I was thinking about spaying some wd40 around where the brake lines meet the rear calipers in the vain hope that itll keep the cable from freezing. Anyone else have this problem? Any tips etc? Cheers guys, Oz
