Hi guys just a quick one, what should the distributor timing be set to on a standard glanza?
thank you -
It’s coming on well mate! Just aswell you’ve got it hidden into storage to avoid all the snow 😃 if you don’t mind me asking what sort of money did it cost to have your turbo overhauled? As I’m about to change my manifold so may get the turbo done while it’s in bits

Boring update alert 😃
Got a few hours in today to start building the car back up.
Both front doors and mirrors reassembled.
Removed the drivers front wing again so I could get access to replace both door hinges due to the old ones having play causing the door to catch when closing.
Up to now the most stressful part of the respray has been trying to get hold of some new roof drip strips as the old ones were about an inch short and if I was to have used them again I feel it really would have let the car down.... my ocd kicking in probably 😂 unfortunately they are now discontinued at Toyota and nobody does them in the aftermarket. Eventually after searching Facebook and eBay i managed to pick some mint second hand ones up that fitted an absolute treat!

Nice to see one that’s pretty much standard and in mint condition!
-
With the only issue of my old ones been that they’re about an inch short at the back, I have thought if these ones are also to short that I could try join my old set and new set together by cutting them in the middle... but that will be my last resort 😂😂
-
Thanks burty. I’ve just managed to source some second hand ones that the bloke assured me are in perfect condition for £28 posted, so I’ve took the punt and hopefully they fit fine 🤞 if not back to the drawing board 😂

Looks like I’m not alone, was just about to post on here to see if anybody knew where I could get them from. Im desperate to get some so I can put the windscreen back in 😩

To be honest im not sure how long it will take, he can have it aslong as he needs though so long as it comes away like its walked of the production line 😂

Fresh paint, you really can't beat it.
Thanks sam. I've gone over the top with getting it resprayed really, even the painter said it doesn't need a full spray but i want it to be immaculate

Made a start tonight on stripping the car ready for its trip to the bodyshop on monday. Windows are getting removed tomorrow then spend Friday stripping everything else out.
Also if anybody is removing their rear spolier it took me ages to figure it out as i presumed it was bonded on 🤦♂️😂... 2x 10mm's behind the wiring grommets ( 1 either side) then just slide it up.
-
Thanks mate. I hope the forum comes back to life again, love the build threads!
Keeping it the same colour, reason for the respray is there is a few marks here and there dotted around the panels so with my OCD ive gone for a full spray 😂
-
Got the car booked in at the local bodyshop for a full respray on the 5th of October. Cant wait!

I personally think white dude! It looked awesome 😍
