I'm running 3.2bar but mine is rich and needs a map. My total cost excluding the fuel computer was about 550-600quid everything 2nd hand...

If you buy a kit from one of the suppliers on the site then you can bolt the kit on and a fuel regulator or fuel computer or both I run fpr and a neo only running 0.8bar at present been like it for over a year now no problems. If you have the money then go for an ecu better prospects for tuning. and above 1bar you'll need injectors as standard will max out. Fuel pump good for 230bhp or there abouts. I would advise suspension and brake upgrades as it does make a massive difference.(Best mod I ever made to go with bigger turbo.)
