Thanks Jay, so the fitting of TEMS isn't straight forward at all then? Cost wise I think Tein coilovers would cost more?

So the water is actually going INTO the engine? Or have I just read it wrong? Surely water + air + petrol does not mix very well? Or does the water just turn to steam? been awake since yesterday afternoon so probably talking nonsense

http://www.torquecars.com/tuning/water-injection.php Am I going mad or is that article talking about spraying water into the engine? That article has to be a joke?

starlet vs r5 gtturbo witch one is quicker!?

lol that's actually quite funny Renault 5 turbo couldn't get away from a 5E Starlet... -
I've been thinking about this and want to know if it has ever been done before or if it is possible without too much work. For those who do not know - some EP82 Starlets had Toyota Electronically Modulated Suspension, (or something like that anyway) which gives the option for hard or soft settings and then an automatic activation of the hard setting under heavy braking or flooring the throttle. So I thought why not fit it to an EP91, as I use the car most days and coilovers would always be harsh with no way of changing it to a real soft setting it's not ideal for going to work in or things l

I don't think there's realisticly enough space for it in a Starlet engine bay.

What are you worrying about? It's not like you haven't got airbags..

lmao, yeah and pigs can fly Ignore what this silly Fiat owner says.

sad but true

Already saw the bebo page mate Just like Sparky I don't miss a beat especially when it looks as good as that

Yeah I sort of know how TEMS works, but not sure on the electrical side of things or wether they'll even fit in the first place. They have the option of hard or soft ride and then the automatic switchover to a harder setting when you floor it or something like that, right? Half of the fitting side is already there - the front strut tower bolts will line up, as will some of the rears depending on year I think. I'll wait for a reply from Sam or someone who knows if it would be possible without too much hard work (including the electric side of things). How do you find the ride with them on l

I was sick of those stupid mini games after seeing them for only a day or two. Either play proper games or don't play at all! I'm tempted to get some Wii points so I can play all the old Sega games on the Virtual Console but I'm too addicted to COD:WAW atm.
-
Well it's LHD so probably some European version?
-
Yeah I'm considering it, depending on costs etc and stuff, wether they'll be an easy fit, I can't see why they shouldn't fit though, all the bolts and stuff should be in similar places, seeing as the front strut tower bolts are in the same place for EP82/EP91 and some of the EP82 models are the same as the EP91s. Would be cool to have a little switch inside for comfort/sport mode, and would be very unique for an EP91 N/A.
-
Would it be possbile to custom fit front and rear TEMS on an EP91 N/A? And what springs do you have to use with these? Are they suited only for OEM springs or could you use an aftermarket 40mm spring?
-
hmm I'd travel for that

I got one for Christmas... well it was a family present but anyway, I bought Call of Duty: World at War and it's fucking great. I used to think Wii's were rubbish (I've always been a Sega fan so didn't pay much attention to Nintendo) and I hadn't bothered with any of these new generation consoles, last console I got was the PS2. Once you get used to the controllers it's much more fun than a PS3/XB360. Anyone else got a Wii? Or anyone else play COD:WAW?

Welcome to UKSC. Is that a real V or a rep?

If you haven't experienced the difference between the standard and corolla inlet mani's then you will be nicely surprised when you get one, it's an awesome difference. And you're right about Starlets feeling more lively than some other cars - I was driving a Renault Clio the other day, 4th gear, little blip on the throttle, and NOTHING. Doing the same thing on the Starlet afterwards, instant response and it felt like it just wanted to go.

Is it just me or does anyone elses N/A Starlet...

That's alright then good it's nothing to worry about. ;) High revs and then let your foot off, the overrun sound is great. -

I don't think it's anything to do with the cams (atleast I don't think so) it's just wierd that the sound changes like it does, the thing about VTEC was a bit of a joke so don't take it too seriously. ;) I can't think of anything though, the engine is running fine and it was only a few months ago that I fully serviced it including oil flush & change. I thought it would be because of the air filter setup (just having a different sound) but it did it before on the airbox anyway. -
I noticed this a long time ago but I thought I might aswell ask anyway, after a certain RPM (pretty high definately past 5k or so) the sound changes from a deep roar to sort of a fairly deep "tinny" - almost similar to a VTEC sound but different ;) I was wondering is this sound normal or not? Does anyone else's 4EFE do this? Breathing mods I have are rolla mani and a open filter coming off a bit of alu pipe. Or could the sound be something different altogether - maybe at high RPM the engine is shaking the shit out of something causing it to rattle and make a noise?

Nice. I'm planning to get myself a Glanza spoiler too, now I know how good it's going to look.
