  1. Australia didn't release FD2R. This is the replacement without type R engine
  2. Time has come for an upgrade for a comfy car. Given up modification hobby. Taking up too much time and $$$$. I have already reached my goals on my EP91 and cannot push further......doing anymore work will start breaking things.... It's my cruiser/daily car - Auto, Sunroof, 17" rims, 6 CD changer, leather. Unfortunately in Australia, FD2R is not available at all. Was keen on EP3 but no insurer wants to insure the car. The Starlet has been sold to another Austarlet member. Hopefully it will be taken care as well as I did in the past.
  3. Thickness are usually measure in gauge.... I use 8 gauge
  4. From my experience dealing with oil gauges, don't tee directly into the block. Use a sandwich plate for the oil filter or Use steel braided lines from the oil pressure switch (and tee it there) The reason for that is, the sensors are made of brass and I have seen so many times the sensor tip snap and fall into the bottom end ($$$ alot to fix it)
  5. Big 3 is good enough. You can have an extra one to the intake manifold if you really want to
  6. I made my own. 3 big 4 gauge audio wires. 1 to gearbox 1 to engine 1 to chassis
  7. Cool, maybe we can compare once you have completed yours
  8. Nah mate, haven't installed it yet Needs a retune when I do that, and I have other priorities at the moment
  9. Recently added a Glanza Rear bar and side skirt Don't have pics yet but everyone knows how it looks like....
  10. Depends on your budget Piggyback ones will do if you are on a tight budget
  11. ^^ as what he said Get other stuff done up 1st before moving to independent ECU. Other than that, you can run piggy back ecu
  12. No use for my application. Fuel rail is the same with 4efte. ECU as well is pointless, I have independent ecu
  13. Thanks for the feedback. I have already planned to a bigger TB/ITB and a new tune (whenever I can find it) I just want to compare with other 4efe owners on what they have and what I am lacking. There is no point for going more suspension mods Some of you may already know I have kept that part of modification up to date.
  14. There no point really to raise the limiter as you can see the power and tractive effort dies after 6800rpm. It's really trial and error playing around with a retune if I can find a suitable tb
  15. All, I am chasing more power in my 4EFE. I believe I have maxed out my engine but want to do a comparison with what other owners of 4EFE has. I'll start: - Full exhaust system; Pacemaker extractors, High flow cat, 2.15" cat back, 2.15" sports muffler - 4efte intake manifold - K & N Pod Filter - NGK Iridium Spark Plugs - Top gun ignition leads - Oil catch can with custom made brackets - Custom made high lift cams - TRD 0.5mm headgasket - Mild ported 4efte head - Microtech LT-8 ECU - 4efte rods I'm currently making 86 wheel hp. It should be making slightly a bit more now with a better f
  16. Diesel are used to clean the petrol engine. It helps getting unwanted crap off Did the mechanic then replace it with standard petrol engine oil?
  17. I totally agree with you StarletRick. There has been confusion between all of us in Austarlet All arguements coming from the top blokes; Jezza323 and co said it's the same cam 10sec_rx7 and -Harry- saying it has extra 1mm lift.
  18. There have been many discussion on austarlet about this. http://www.austarletclub.com/forums/index....mp;hl=4efte+cam 10sec_rx7 is no longer a member in austarlet but used to be a highly respected member, so we gave him benefit of the doubt
  19. Glanza S, Glanza V, 4efe, 5efe are all the same cams. 4efte has 1mm extra lift but same duration. 5efhe off a SERA will be the best to go
