Hi all, I would like to know how does NA EP91 owners' engine bay look like. I want to have a rough idea how to get more cold air into the air filter Cheers, Nic
-
You know you own a starlet when there are loose parts around, and you can hear them but you don't know where is the source of the problem
-
I'm pretty sure with headers, full exhaust system, pod filters you will get 100bhp and more. I'm currently aiming to get 100hp at the wheels with my mods
-
Hi there, I have headers installed already ;)
-
Hi guys, Any other of you are into NA 4efe? Would be great if we can exchange ideas ;)
-
What's JAE? I am interested to know what the NA guys here are doing on their car
-
Sparky, You seem to know your stuff! We should chat online Yea. I'll be using 4efte valve springs to overcome the problem. They are "tougher" from experiments done by the Aussie blokes
-
Yes, but not "much" as in still on stock ECU, rev cut is at 6200rpm. I have an aftermarket ecu waiting for be install and I'll raise it to 7000 or maybe 7200 rpm. then I will notice a big different.
-
The runners on the 4efte intake is shorter than stock 4efe.
-
Well, by theory, fte intake on fe will move the peak power up the rev range, and will give more at the top (at the cost of down low)
-
Thanks for all the positive reply. I feel very welcome here

I know this is the wrong section, but I'm trying to keep the flow of this post. Any ideas that the English have in their mind to increase hp in a 4efe ?
-
Yep. Kinda suck, laws here are very restrictive towards modifications

Yea. JDM bumper of an EP91. When I bought the car, it came with it. So lucky me

Fog lights are from my local auto shop. Cost around AUD$50 over a year ago when I bought it

Yes, I have a spare mild ported head from 4efte engine ready to be installed as soon as I can get a set of cams I have been waiting for speedvision.com to stock on the cams for months now. If it doesn't come in 2-3 months time, I will have to custom make it from 4efte cams(regrind and grounded) to my intended specs. Fingers cross and hopefully speedvision stock them up soon. On top of that, I have a microtech LT-8 standalone ECU too to be installed once the engine head is installed. I'm also putting TRD thin headgasket (0.5mm) to help raise the compression.

I have the coilovers to be the exact same height when I had Tein S Tech springs which was 51mm drop all around. I can't go too low as in Australia, I have gotten defect fines for car being too low (100mm is the minimum legal height)
