  1. No point having glanza S injectors and fuel rail. It has been tried before and no differences at all. As for the cams, there is only 1mm extra lift but the same duration for 4efte cams compared to 4efe. What you want is extra duration as well
  2. Recently added a solenoid to the car that turns on when the a/c is turn on. What the solenoid does is sucking air from "before TB" and pushing it into "after TB" This helps a bit from stalling when a/c is on. Currently the car revs at 1260 RPM without a/c, lights, heater. When a/c and lights are turn on, it drops to about 850-900 RPM which is just the point before it stalls.
  3. Hi there, Very neat car you have there. What throttle body did you use for your intake?
  4. Hi there, Very neat starlet you have and making 80bhp
  5. Check your map sensor first. It's a little vacuum hose that connects to the black device on the firewall just behind your intake manifold.
  6. go for EP82/Paseo EL44 front and rear brakes. Bolt on
  7. Hello all, I been getting some rubbing/touching noise when driving in my car without pressing the brakes This is what I have done and checked: 1) New rotors 2) New pads and put some brake grease where the piston touches 3) Push the piston back 4) Grease the pins 5) Remove the slides and grease 6) Check the slides are moving 7) Pump the pedal Yet I still can tell/hear the pads are rubbing/touching against the rotor from both wheels Driver side wheel is spinning much more freely than passenger side. While driving, did hard brake, bedding in and the usual. Car doesn't go side wards when bra
  8. With the bolt holding the steering, unscrew it half way. Yank the steering off then remove the bolt. Reason for this is so that you won't have the steering flying to your face
  9. Agreed, not huge difference with stock ecu, stock 4efe intaka manifold and stock exhaust manifold. If you see my vehicle thread, u can get an idea how to get 100bhp. I'm looking to get 50mm tb, huge airbox to get 100whp.

    Apexi Neo

Yep. wiring like SAFC2. Do a search in austarletclub.com for 4efte wiring diagram.
  11. If you have stock ecu and idling around 700-900, don't tweak the idle. I'll suggest you to check engine mount
  12. 7afe intake manifold is similar to 4efte intake. tb is 50mm as well but due to design of the throttle butterfly cable hook, it will hit your fuel rail. I have been trying to look for a matching 50mm tb for my car and only an AUTO 4efte tb will fit

    Apexi Neo

If you have the wiring colour of your wiring loom guide, it's easy. Shave the wire, tap the Neo's wire, solder it, silicone heat wrap and you are done
  14. Twist and pull the cable from the cluster. pull the cable from the firewall then remove the other end from gearbox
  15. IMO, the specs should be OK. but the builder of the cam had to reduce the lift slightly for the needed duration after asking if my car is turbo/NA I don't have the exact calculation of power at the fly. Aussie dyno only measure wheel hp. But from the rough calculation: 2/3 --> 86.4 1 --> (86.4/0.6666) roughly = 130bhp (could be less; not sure the exact calculation)
  16. That's the water and oil temp digital gauge
  17. I'm using 4efte intake manifold only with my stock 4efe tb. I have been trying to search 4efte AUTO tb to fit into my car. As for 4efte intake manifold, there are noticable gains, but that's because I have move my limiter to 7200rpm.
  18. Really hard to say. Sorry Even if the fan is "broken", happen to me before, the water pump should be pumping the water around the radiator system. So, I would change the cheaper option 1st; thermostat then faulty wiring of the fan then finally water pump if it's failing If u r not mechanical minded, get it looked at asap
  19. Faulty thermostat not opening could be the problem
  20. The differences are: 1) The idle control for 4efte and 4efe tb are at different location 2) The TPS on 4efte and 4efe are two totally different sensor. to fix this 1) You need original 4efte intake manifold with idle control on the driver side end. Extend your original wiring and tap into it 2) You will need to find yourself a variable TPS. The easiest solution will be finding 4efte AUTO car tb ** stock 4efe tb is 46mm while 4efte is 50mm. While it's theory you should gain some hp, you will also decrease drivabilty due the extra air coming through. The stock 4efe ecu may not compensate it
  21. Should fit. My boss kit is for sw20 mr2, Celica 90s as well
  22. Added Engine bay pics and interior pics on 2nd post
  23. I did mild ported and shaved work on the head. 4efte rods are there because my rpm limiter has been raised to 7200rpm. The cams did make the difference with tuning to aftermarket standalone ECU (at the expense of stalling all the time with a/c turn on) The UK weather might not be friendly to my specs In Aussie winter (7 degrees coldest), I am having problem starting it and stalling with a/c
  24. Yep. that's power at the wheels. It's breakfast for turbos
