  1. EXCELLENT! Thanks for doing that for me people... I'm trying to think of ways to toughen the little Starlet up and make it a bit more street racer without changing bumpers ect... Thanks again!
  2. It basically gives the effect of driving on a cold misty day. Works well on big power YB's as Sparky says and also CVH's which are 20 odd years old now. YB's are running 1000bhp ish in Scandanavia and for an engine that was designed such along time ago to do that it needs all the help it can get!
  3. Just wodered where you put it mate and how easy it was? Cheers
  4. Has anyone ever re-located a battery in an EP91?
  5. Could anyone help me with this please? I'm after a blue lip around the edge of the wheels and for the car to be slightly lower. Also for the bump strips to be removed. Could anyone do this for me please? Thankyou!
  6. Thanks lads, hmm something to consider then.....
  7. Your obviously on too much money over there mate
  8. Will a Cusco brake cylinder stopper fit on an N/A Starlet? It's an SR model so I believe they have the bigger discs of all the N/A models, they fit the Glanzas obviously but Dave isn't sure whether they fit the N/A. I've ordered some 10 groove discs, uprated pads and braided lines on the way but I thought I thought I'd check to see whether the BCS would go on. One last thing, is it worth the £90??? Oh here's a picture - And a link - http://www.starletgtturbo.co.uk/25.html Tom
  9. He's not dead! His name is Patrik and he is a 40 something family man and still going strong. Last thing I heard he was riding a fully sorted GSXR1000 these days. He can be seen at the Nurburgring and at other tracks around Europe getting his kicks these days. A journo I sort of know has ridden with him and he was set to have a ding dong at the Ring this year with someone else I know, never happened though!
  10. Is it worth fitting a Powerflex bush kit? The kit comes with 2 gearbox mount bushes and 1 front engine mount bush. Oh and would a Glanza/4EFTE turbo kit fit an N/A car? Tom
  11. Cheers mate, I'll have a look
  12. I don't think I've seen it Enzo mate? Unless it's the rounded one with spots in it maybe??? A plan is being hatched everyone, it's amazing how excited a grown man can get with a 10 year old jap tin box ;)
  13. Brilliant mate thanks! So I assume it just disables the seat belt on the drivers side? That rear strut brace looks fucking awesome? Where did you get it? Worth the money?
  14. Thanks for the compliments everyone! It's nice to have something that's appreciated! The body has the usual car park dents and a few light spots of rust so depending on price I'm considering getting the bonnet de-badged, the bump strips re-moved and the rough areas sorted out. I'm on the look out for a Laguna splitter and a new rear wiper arm to tidy things up too. I like the idea of the blue based SR graphics too, does anyone know of a template that's available? Or some sort of download that I could get copied? If not, I might have to get some sort of graphics wiz to have a look. I'm on t
  15. Hmmmmm I didn't think about an exhaust manifold ;) Eventually I'll do something a bit more permanant with the HKS mushroom filter, re-locate it down the front or make an alloy enclosure for it maybe.... De-cat is another idea, not sure how easy that would be, I'll have to have a look underneath later! Anyway, here's a couple of shit pictures, I don't have anything better on here at the moment... I hop this works! ;)
  16. A corolla inlet manifold is definately on the list, if I can find one!!! We don't have many scrap yards down here!
  17. It's silver, well a bluey silver. It's got anthracite Speedlines already done and a full Glanza interior. I've fitted front and side clear indicators and rear late spec Glanza lights. Aswel as all the usual steering wheel, gear knob ect ect. HKS induction kit and a front Tannabe strut brace, along with some new bolts and a few powder coated brackets to clean it all up a bit. Oh and an Idrees C/F interior kit ;) So once the rear ARB and anti lift kit are fitted I gotta move onto the next stage! Thanks for your ideas everyone, keep them coming!!! Tom
  18. Thanks guys, that's decided it then! Now then, do I get a quickshift and brake set up or is there anything else I shoild consider???
  19. Evenin' all! I've decided to keep my little SR, after driving a few newish 'hotter' hatches I can't really believe it but I think the Starlet feels more lively and fun to hustle about.... It's cheap to run and insure, so I figure with the current financial climate I could do alot worse than keep the Starlet. Some of you may know I've done a few things, Glanza lights and interior, arm rest and footwell box, HKS induction kit and had my wheels powder coated. I've got a Whiteline rear ARB and castor kit down in the garage ready to go on and so far that's it. The question is what direction do
  20. Thanks guys, I was thinking about 1000-1500 myself. I do like my little Starlet, I was thinking about doing a Glanza conversion but I'm sure the insurance would be an absolute no-no. I just need a bit more speeeeeeeeeeed!
  21. Morning all, Just wondering, what sort of money my Starlet might be worth? It's a 98 SR model in silver, about 55k miles. The body has a few car park dents and scrapes and some VERY minor rust spots but overall it is very solid. Original Speedlines have been newly refurbed in anthracite, full glanza interior in VVGC, new steering wheel and gear knob ect. Clear front and side repeaters, smoked Glanza rear lenses and the usual SR bits are still there. (backbox ect) It's a solid little car and drives very well, it has quite a bit of service history ect. Sorry if this is in the wrong section
