  1. Need to lower it down to give me access to the crank pulley. Is the sump strong enough for me to put a jack underneath for support while I faff about?
  2. I'd put the cage in my car up against most of the modern stuff on the market today, the best 1500 quid I hope I never get to use.
  3. You know when you roll your car and you are harnessed into your seat bolt up right, chances are the highest thing inside the car is your head. Just think about that for a little bit, then you might understand why harness bars are difficult to come by, and why using rear seat belt bolts for harness anchor points are generally frowned upon. I get it though, I was young once and drove cars both on road and track with harnesses without a rollcage. So if you're going to do it, just bolt them in, a harness bar on its own is just a waste of money. Besides from anything else, they are bloody ann
  4. All roll cages worth their salt will come equipped with a harness bar.
  5. With circuit days, I can get you discount of about £20 quid if you'd like it. Silverstone, obvs.

    EMB Questions

Cheers, we had it working, but because I'd not set the actuator correctly it wasn't much use. I've done some reading this afternoon which suggests I shouldn't have a problem with connecting my laptop to the EMB, so we'll see how I get on.
  10. That's awesome, it's a shame they didn't find the owner and ask him about it.

    EMB Questions

I understand what you're saying, but once I've spent the time setting it up it's unlikely I'll need to change it very often. The car only gets driven half a dozen times a year! We'll see, I'll make up the cable tonight and see what happens, what could possibly go wrong?

    EMB Questions

I know that seems to be the norm, but there's no reason why using the EMB's additional injector map shouldn't work. I'd like to at the very least try it before spending £300 on something I might not need..

    EMB Questions

No boost controller, I have a 3 port solenoid and have it all wired up. Not much time was spent on boost control due to the wastegate giving me the desired level of boost during mapping, I now want to run lower wastegate pressure and add boost control. Using the additional injector map should allow me to adjust duty cycle by RPM, obviously this is much more desirable than using the wastegate solely, or running a boost controller. I just don't want to mess up what's already there! I might pop in and see Will @ RDT who mapped it to ask for some advice. Just to be clear, I'm not looki

    EMB Questions

Have any of you accessed your EMB using GReddy software? Had my car mapped last year, but would like to tweak the additional injector map to use for boost control. I have a cable, and the software installed on my laptop, BUT am cautious about connecting it to my EMB in case something goes wrong and resets or wipes the bloody thing. Are there any steps I need to follow so the above doesn't happen? Cheers
  15. Sent the guy a message on FB, we'll see what he's offering. Difficult to tell how effective any 'aero' is, unless it's tested, or simulated by CPU and flow dynamic software. That would require 3d scanning the car, I'm hoping that's what he intends to do. Splitter wont be worth a shit unless it extends at least under the engine bay as well.
  16. WMS 4 Pot, with Ferodo DS1.11 pads, they're brilliant.

    Forged engine

I wish. Currently in the market for one, 7k will get you a good one, 5k will get you something ropey.

Buy an R26 Megane with your 8k
  19. Hoping to get this booked, it's with open track, £189
  20. Just find an ARP Dealer in the UK and ask them to get some
  21. Lots.. I don't have a picture of it all built back up, but apart from the clocks and other necessary bits and pieces there is very little up behind the dashboard, I removed any parts of the wiring loom I didn't need as well. Loom back in, and the car running I think here BUT, mine isn't a road car, and in my ownership it never will be. Think hard before removing heater matrix's and what not on a road car, it can get fecking cold in winter without one!
  22. Don't think there is one? Has to be tight enough to remove any play, but not too tight that the bearing binds.. If you tighten it up fully you'll notice the wheel wont spin.
