  1. okay ill try the jump lead tonight, so i just put it on the -ve terminal and the hook on the block
  2. ok brought a full engine, banged it in last night, will do the wiring sometime this week and let you all know if its any good as i brought it off a forum member! :Y) fingers crossed for me! the guy said it was smoking and thought it was the valve stem seals or a ring was on the way out, however when i took the turbo off the block the inside was full of oil, i beleive this may be why it was smoking? (ive been told the actual turbo will only drip feed a small pin head of oil onto the shaft at anytime)

Hi, i recently blew my bottom end, got a new engine, dropped it in and plugged in all the plugs i can see, however i cannot get the ignition to come on, i have searched the net and this forumn and cannot find any information as to why, i was wondering if someone could clarify where the bettery leads are connected to the chasis as i beleive i may have a bad earth, If anyone has any other ideas please give me a shout! i want to boost so hard a friend said it may be a fuse or relay but i have checked all these, thanks guys, Liam (u) P.s all the engine loom is plugged in, just unsure on the

  12. thanks durmz, i was sure it was fuel cut to do with the cold air (becomes more dense) ive been trying to explain that to my mate for hours who works at the garage but he doesnt understand, i know its fuel cut as im boosting 0.9 when its happening, thanks again guys, good place to get actuator? Hi, just after some advice as ive read various articles and havent found my answer. my starlet is totaly standard minus an air filter on the end of the efi pipe (ive even removed my dv) now when i swap over my boost pipes to bypass the sonoied i get all my lovely boost but i get creep and hit 0.85 everytime and fuel cut, the only thing ive been able to do is put the boost pipes back round as it keeps cutting in this cold air. is this normal? i dont have a problem when the pipes are back to standard, but i really want the high boost as its amazing! thank you in advance and sorry if i see
  16. Thanks Rick, so if i got 2 bulb holders out the rear parking lights i could use those as they are dual element? (get brighter when you brake) thanks again for this, im gonna attempt it in the snow if it really is as simple as swapping my bulb holder and a little re-wiring, by the way i did search the forum but couldnt find a how to on this, may do one if anyone wants it
  17. Hi, i want my amber corners to come on with my sidelights yet continue to blink/repeat when i use the indicator, am i correct in thinking i can wire a dual element buld holder in place of the indicator one and just wire the live to the sidelights? help appreciated, Liam.
  18. Sorted now mate cheers for that, i dont suppose if you know to a thread for wiring sidelights into my corners? i wanted to do this so i can have them as USDM sidelights cause they are cool lite up orange all the time!
