  1. I think there are two ways you can go, you can do a job you love and not worry as much about the money, or you get a job that pays well but isn't the most interesting. I went for the latter, as the way I see it, I can crack on with my job and then with the money I earn I can enjoy myself. I have only recently qualified as a Management Accountant and it was a hard slog, but I wasted a lot of time.

The question is, how did you do at school, and what are you good at?

  2. Even still, that is bad placement even if bolted to the rear floor in that position. In the event of a crash, they would twist the seat due to not being central to the chair, and due to the large angle down would snap the back of the chair. The MSA rule book has very specific angles for this reason alone

  3. I'd prefer pin-on purely because I have no idea where I'd put a clip on.. as my clothes don't have places to clip stuff on to... But then again - we might need an accident book for the amount of people who may stab themselves with the pin!

Also may be getting slightly school like and shit but... May be an awesome idea to get individual photographs of people with their cars? Would give us all something to do for a bit and what not, plus would be nice to look over after the event and then remember names-faces a little more. Just an idea that popped into my head :D.. Even just on an iPhone or something!!!

Just everyone bring a picture of themselves and stick them up in the Gazebo?

Last year we did have a pic thread: http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/84974-jae-face-to-name-thread/

  4. FAO THOSE WITH DOGS:

"Yes. Not in the Action Arena of course but everywhere else is fine. Dogs must be on a leash at all times as there are cars moving around all the time and children at the venue. You are also responsible for cleaning up after them and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if we believe you are not obeying the regulations or your dog may be causing a disturbance. For the fireworks at night the animal is solely your responsibility, we will not send security out to look for spooked pets that have run away because of all the bangs etc.Yes. That's the reply I've just had for those wanting to take pooches

  5. One thing that puts me off JAE is not knowing anyone. My first meet was japfest. I luckily spoke to a couple of people but felt scared to go up to ransoms. People will call me a wimp but it's how I am.

Think some admin maybe greeting people would be cool :).

Recognised some off Facebook and spoke ones I recognised

At JAE everyone would make you feel welcome, seriously. They are all a cool bunch, and every time I have wandered over in the past, I have talked to random people for hours. This year will actually be my first year officially sleeping on the stand, but just come talk to me and I will introduce you to all the people I know (and don't know)

  6. I've asked on FB for you Rob. Ticketing is always going to be hard, as you can control cars as they need stand passes, but you will struggle to control passengers/mates etc from being on the pitch. Either way, you shouldn't have to go through the process of messing with tickets again. I am sure most people will be honest when buying tickets to contribute to the gazebo/heaters etc
