Just wondering do any of you lot know where to get an Option2 decal to go on the dash as i want one on my CRX. Ive searched high and low but cant find any good ones. Cheers, Rhys

I have an RX7 tmic on my GT...............ive also got custom brackets that make it sit perffectly square like the stock tmic Rubix yours is sitting at an angle isnt it mate? Let me know i may be able to duplicate the brackets if you want it sitting square? And their very good, theres alot thicker core and bigger surface area........as said.....good for 170bhp but if your going 200+ just buy FMIC. If anyone wants me to make them up brackets let me know and ill get to work on the sheet aluminium.

Do you know Sham and Tahir their from up your way Idrees? Tahir has an EF9 civic i think.......B18CR VERY quick. Still.........D series all the way! for now any way. It shall be rapid with the HKS cams as their epic duration. .....then bodies!!! Havent heard the sound and the smell of fuel since i had my throttle bodied 106 rallye been too long now. Deafness and headaches again here we come!

K20's have been done in them. Upon recent reasearch......basically....B20's are sh*t, and they sound sh*t. Weak engine if you dont build them properly. Their good if built properly. B16.....bah cant be arsed to spend £300-£400 on a B series. Wasteof time and money for not alot more power than my D16A9 lump. B18.....thought about it.......and then decided VTEC isnt all that amazing really, a good D series can keep up with the best all day long. ............ My D series is staying in there. Buying a set of HKS race cams to go in it. Then some throttle bodies probably, been a while since i had a car with them. Ive got D2 coilovers, purple blox lca's, AEM fuel rail, Buddyclub Spec 2 system, K&N performance gold oil filter, magnetic sump plugs....etc all to go on there. Ive fitted my Magnecor KV85 leads already. Next braided fuel line and aeroquip fittings, B&M fpr or AEM havent decided yet, Skunk2 intake manifold, bigger throttle body, Skunk2 short shifter and gearknob. Also on special order rare J's racing lug nuts in pink/purple colour....from greece Shall be getting a few carbon fibre bits as well hopefully.

How Strong Did You Say Gt Gearboxes Were?
southwales_tuner replied to southwales_tuner's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
Lmao hell no..........id sooner commit hari-kari(sp?) than do that to my GT! ;) Correct mate, good guess! ;) BIG project, which will not be easy, custom parts all over the place, mounts, mani's, looms......the list is endless. Will be worth it in the end, but as said dont expect it for many years yet.......looking at minimum of 2-3 years in the making. -
Very nice, in my opinion the spoiler suits it, they look silly without one i think, the shape is all wrong without it. What is it with dads and nice cars? My dads a bloody bum compared lmao! Ill ave to kick him in the ass for it!

How Strong Did You Say Gt Gearboxes Were?

Well its called magic!.......and a fookin big hill and an almighty crunch and a bang.......i thought the f*cking world was ending when it was grinding and then finally went bang. If im honest, no offence to the guy i bought it off but it hadnt been looked after before i had it, im guessing most of its life it had been run with no gearbox oil (serious! ;)) i obviously put gearbox oil in it, but im guessing by then it had had a hiding. Shes coming off the road, will be off for years though for the big project..........500bhp 1.8 20v here we come!! And the monumental task of putting the power down to the deck. For now im happy with my CRX ;) -
Lmfao you tell him Jade! Lew, hurry up with pics i wanna see this beast!! ;) and you know you want my sooperdooper OEM wheels you said looked like yaris wheels to go on it!!! Toyo's and all mind! lol Glad you finally got your starlet then jade., do me a favour though, please for godsake dont let lew drive it, we'll all be doomed! lol ;)

Update 2 - 20th July Ok been working a little on the CRX, as said removed the back lights the other day and resealed them all up, left the left side light off as im getting a new one. Center panel and right light refurbd and reffited.... Been making some carbon fibre interior bits today, nothing major just little bits and peices for now. In very nice snazy green 2x2 weeve, which was hard as fook to find. Had to cut and shape them all properly so they fit spot on and hold themselves in without glue or screws, perfect job. (if anyone wants any small bits like this made for their cars, drop me a message with pics) Also removed the rear bench, cleaned all underneath and partialy cleaned the leather on the bottom part. Note how immacule the interior is, the carpet...etc Rear bench lower cleaned up, more to do on it yet though.... Super clean interior, barely any marks throughout.....this has less wear and marks than the GT and its 3-4 years older!!

Update 1 - 17 July Started some of the restoration work today, removed everything from the rear tyre well, checked for rust, minimal, very very impressed. Removed the rear lights to restore them, change any blown/damaged/faded bulbs and restore the rubber seals that sit behind them. Their a VERY strange light setup, infact its a f*cking silly design which is notorious for leaking, which mine had done in the past slightly by the looks, easy temporary fix which lasts along time, i removed them, soaked the seals and scrubbed them in warm/hot water to get all the gunk off them and relax the rubber/foam, i then let them soak for half an hour while i cleaned up the actual light housings themselves and the chassis where the lights sit up against. I then dried the light housings inside with a hair dryer and cleaned up the bulb mounts, i then fitted new bulbs, greased the fittings right up with waterproof and heat-resistant grease (lovely sh*t lol). Then i dried off the rubber seals, coated them on the light side with vaseline, and coated the chassis side with the waterproof grease, greased up all the bolts and then fitted again............their now completely watertight Also painted up the wiper arms with some proper black metal enamel paint, fitted some new aero wipers on the front and recylced one of the newer ones off the windscreen of my pug 106 to fit to the back............jobs a goodun' Next job.......fit new left hand side rear light housing, remove rear bumper and start work on restoring the bumper bar/brackets. White LED sidelight bulbs, white LED interior light bulb in the front and in the boot. And last but not least.........fit my Rays Volk TE37's on there to see how they look, order some new Parada spec2's and away to go.

Just wondering wheres best to get door and boot seals that seal VERY well by the meter or in universal kits? Looking at replacing all the seals in the GT and on my CRX as both cars leak from time to time and i dont like it all that much i must admitt. Would be great if i can buy it by the meter or somthing? Cheers, Rhys.

Ello People Im New And Looking For A Starlet!
southwales_tuner replied to Scott-EP's topic in Welcome New Owners!
Just stick to the basic common sense rules when buying a used second hand car mate. Check the oil, fluids...etc Check all service history and when last service was done, make sure its had at least oil and oil filter change..etc..etc. Do a HPI check, avoid anything which has had a knock as their tough cars but not THAT tough if you see what i mean, a bump could mean structural damage, so always nice to have one which has no accident damage. Their a very tough car, engine's are very tough and reliable. In my opinion, it is best to go for somthing which hasnt already been modified (unless new import) as it may be a sign its had a hard life. I know a guy who wanted £4.5k for his modified Glanza V running a hybrid CT9...........and it wasnt worth £100 in my opinion, and i told him that too. Just gotta have your wits about you dude. -
Heres one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES.........everyone should listen to this if you wanna smile . Ive also got almost all of Armin Van Buuren's mixes on CD off the radio shows hes done. F*cking immense tune. Gives me an amazing feeling listening to this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91eZZqnH7kM Super 8 & Tab ft. Alyna - Delusion (remix)

Hi there Scott Depends on how much you want to spend mate? IF you dont wanna go mega-bucks then there are the ebay jobbies......ok but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. As far as i know i think Zisco make some immense ones for £300+, obviously outstanding quality reflects in the price. http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index...._item&id=41 And i think Dave Burwash was making them......T-M developments on here as far as im aware have them. Scout around mate theres quite a fair few de-cats and manifolds available to fit the CT9, all with different power figures, reputations for build quality..etc As for gaskets, it depends what sort of condition they are in, and if they get damaged when your taking it all appart. My advice would to always use new gaskets whatever the job, better safe than sorry, but thats my opinion.

Dunno if this is any use mate.............only had a quick browse for you...... http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?pli...s_Brakes-_discs Thats assuming its just the discs you wanted, or was it actual calipers or pads?
-
Aup Dan mate. I dont see why it shouldnt be? Works for civic's and CRX's fine so i dont see why it wouldnt work for a GT/Glanza V either, unless your going to run silly power, then obviously the bigger the core the more the fins and the more area of cooling you get, i personaly would opt for a full size rad every time because of the bigger cooling area, but thats just me playing it safe, theres many people running civic rads OK as far as i know. Rhys.

..........oh dear, thats no excuse dammit!!! And seriously its funny, if i concentrate on saving, its amazing how much i do manage to save from, well, no where really and after a few months have enough money to do things with the cars, its gunna be a slow old process of building the GT and buying a few parts here and there for this, but itll be worth all the work and effort in the end........and you know me i eat, sleep and drink cars......keeps a smile on my face lol. And better wether you say mate? Haha, in wales? You'll be waiting for ever......lmao. As said though, whenever you do start, gimme a shout and ill do whatever i can to help mate.
-
Cheers mukka for the kind words, i appreciate it. Its in VERY good condition, its a far cry from the white one i went to look at the other day.......dear god......the guy wanted more for it than what i paid for this, and to be fair, i wouldnt have been happy to drive it 100 yards down the road, what a death trap. I had a very very good buy and a lucky find for £700, had been garaged as well 90% of its life, and the underside is fully waxoiled from new. Performance and handling wise........my GT feels like a boat compared, very tight steering, corners amazingly well, grip all over the place....

Haha ok ok you've caught me..........ive been selling my body down cardiff docks, red handbag the lot LMFAO ;) Im lucky, i dont drink and i hardly go out and for some reason i seem to find money that ive hidden away in dark corners, seems to grow out of my wallet. lol And not yaris wheels...............EVEN WORSE..... blooody Daihatsu wheels haha. They've got Toyo T1R's on them though, crazy people. Lew give us a shout as well mate, ill come up and help you with your GT......any time, you've still got my number havent you?
