  1. I think the site should have a sales feed back section basically to stop people getting rippd off.

I bought a os gilken twin clutch of Nightspirit he sayd it was in good condition, i sent money via pay pal and it took him a while to post it then it got lost in the post. None of this really botherd me because we all get busy and dont have time to post stuff and he couldnt do anything about it being lost.

When i finally recieved it, i opend it up and everything looked well until i unbolted it to check the plates! all off them had less than 0.5mm left on them and burn marks on the metal plates with deep grooves around them. The clutch isnt worth putting in to anybodys car, let alone mine that i was aiming for 300bhp with!

So i sayed to him i wasnt happy about it and he sayd post it back and he'll pay me the money back. This was good news, but i had also been busy and it took me a couple of weeks to get it posted and then he sayd he never recieved it and wanted to know all about how i posted it. So i sayd id claim of the insurance and wouldnt u know hes now recieved it!

Now he wants to take it to a specialist now and get the clutch checkd out to say that its shite but anyone mechanically minded should know. God knows how long it will take him to do this. i bought it late december! ill let use decide when i get the pictures uploaded.

  2. 3 fellas go to a hotel, they pay £10 each for 1 room. they go to there room and the receptionist relized the room ther in only costs £25.

So the receptionist takes £5 up to them in ther room but cant split £5 3 ways. Bein a sly git he pockets £2 and gives them a pound back each. so they ended up paying £9 each for the room 3 x 9 is 27 plus the £2 that the receptionist stole only makes £29, were did the other pound go to make it up to £30?

  3. had a quick look threw your thread there because i seen the pic in the avatar lookd awsome. i was shocked! its hard to believe that it lookd they way it did with the gold side strips and silly xhausts.

uve made a good difference to this cars life lol

get the carbon mid spoiler and a carbon livesports style one would be awsome or carbon boot!

I WILL own a set of carbon wheels in my life time!

your interior looks like it belongs with the way the car used to look, nicest way of sayin it haha

  4. yeah u jus need to block up some holes, quite simple. not sure about wiring up the throttle body though. im gna try it on the sr wen i get home, ive got a manifold lyin ther and the yellow injectors and the pink ones. jus dont have a rrfp, might beable to borrow one, need someone with afr gear though to set it up acuratly

  5. that is doin it right! its only keeping the cost down until you can afford the rest. spending more money doesnt mean its done better or gonna make more power! for example alan d spent nearly 20k on his gt full race engine with hybrid ect and was only touching the 200bhp mark, weejohn im guessing would have spent around 3k turboing his sportif and was making the same power on standard internals on a td04 off a volvo!

as long as your prepared to do the work it will keep cost down and youll learn loads more about your car and know its done right because youve done it yourself and these formums are here to help when you get stuck and to make sure your doin things rite!

  6. Basically u want more air and fuel in you engine to make more power so if it was me id use:

4efte manifold with the larger throttle body and some good cold air induction

    upgrade the injectors

and get a rrfp so you can get the fueling set up exact and make the most power outta your mods safely

if your gonna use the 4efte inlet manifold, u need 2 block up some holes and the throttle body has different plug on it best 2 ask weejohn on how 2 modify it to suit or if you could even get it to work.

when u get more air in you need more fuel 2 balance it out and the best way 2 get it set up exactly is to get the air fuel ratio checked and if needed, adjusted by a good tuner.

also more in more has to go out so a better exhaust system wouldnt go a miss.

  7. you can do it for less than £1000! ive worked it out before. u dont need a crane either, the engines can be lifted out by hand. and u can front mount the standard intercooler if u were straped for cash. u can use the standard exhaust, my friend phil done it on his sr. id say it could be done in 2 n haf days if u were on the ball.

engines can be got for 550, think u also need driveshafts

weejohn wires it up for 250

wiring loom - get one off jay for £50 i reckon

ecu - im selling one atm for £20

u can recycle your old radiator fluid,

    oils £12

    filters £3

dont know were u got 100quid for fluids from! u can use the excisting gear box

would recomend gt brakes aswell but could be done at a later stage when got cash saved up.

its a very very cheap conversion, think of the money ud spend on your standard 4efe over time gettin a nice exhaust, air filter, corrolla mani ect. and youd see very little gains. 4efte is close to double the power of your standard 4efe too!

dont think i left anythin out, hope this helps.

  8. i thought if you had these mods;

4efte inlet manifold and throttle body

    cold air feed induction

    bigger injectors

rising rate fuel pressure regulator with the air fuel ratio setup up

and a decat exhaust with a performance back box

    you shud make good power

has anyone had a rising rate fuel pressure reg in there 4efe?
