scutch0 replied to Jozinobi's topic in EP91 Progress Blogs
i see a 5e! good going joz! -
very sad to hear mate. glad your ok. it can happen to the best of us.
-
if you have non rev counter clocks the reason why your petrol light hasn't come on is because you dont have one! there is a spot there for a bulb but it has no bulb, so be careful!
-
bugger.
-
the moving pics look awesome mate. ive gotta come to the next one. i still owe fishy a ride in the v too!
-
it has been done with the n/a gearbox, but if your gonna have the engine out, your gonna need to change the clutch for one that can take the power, so you've gotta have the gearbox off anywho. best to change it to be on the safe side. i cant see the shafts being much different tho.
-
that white starlet looks like it might be galnza179's missus. she used to have one, but i thought they sold it...
-
ha! another starlet thats not too far away! im from bedford/stevenage area so just down the a1!
-
tell me about it phil. i dont know anyone who has had so many altercations with wildlife either! they actually only look like that when theyre warming up, they go a pure white light when up to temperature, the heat range for pure white is 6000k which is the kit i have. fucking right i killed it. i went back to get my foglight and it was lying there. but i gotta agree with you there, theyre hard as fuck! cheers buddy. it did for a little while, but gimme a few weeks and i should be back
-
damage update i hit a badger the other night and it did a fair bit of damage... and people asked me why i didnt have a replica of the 98 splitter! now you see what i mean! Rich.
-
anyone know if toyota can still get the originals of these? if so would someone with one be able to get the part numbers?
-
i had standard 16's on my n/a. it still did ok up against a vtr. ive had 15's and 14's on my glanza, lightweight 14's are by far the best investment ive made for power to weight. and ive notice a tiny decrease in grip, but nothing to write home about. the only problem with 14's is that youre limited on brake upgrades.
-
i'd go hks. not a big fan of the looks of the nur spec tbh.
-
yeah, i bought them off a guy from work for a small price, theyre a ultra virtual daylight kit with a halogen main beam (which is shite) but the kit retails at about £150 i think.(i got it cheaper than that tho!) the main beam is a small halogen bulb, so i ordered a few more bulbs and fitted an extra one to each base, so now there are two halogen bulbs running main beam per side! its still a bit rubbish on main tho, so i might try and figure out a way to keep the hid on in main too. theyre a 6000k kit sparks.
-
stage 3 hid kit. ever sinse i saw one of these fitted i wanted one, and ive managed to find one at a price i could afford, so heres a comparison pic fitted. halogen hid so far it seems to make a huge difference. really pleased with the outcome, i modified the main beam to be brighter too! Rich.
-
are hid's legal for mot if you dont have headlight washers? as ive got a set and someone told me that you need headlight washers for them to pass mot?

The Cynos B Turbo...or Asshat as I like to call it
scutch0 replied to riko666's topic in Paseo Progress Blogs
nice riko! i remember back in the days of toc when you had your old white si good to see you on here. the cynos does look mean with those 14's on. you should stick with them, i love my 14's opposed to my 15's. Rich. -
my next update im itching to put on the car but i may have problems getting it thru mot... im so tempted to fit them but i might have to hold out until the 19th of next month!
-
cheers buddy. i think they actually turned out better than i thought they would!! im glad you like em!
-
i personally like the pastel yellows... like this:
-
the wrench is about 2 years old, but my dad keeps it in top notch condition, always winding it out after using it... so i wasnt too worried about it. but i know what your saying. but this one just went just as it was going from loose to a tiny bit tight... so i dont think it was me being a bit too brutal.
-
unbelieveably i sheared off another stud last night trying to torque them up... it wasnt even getting tight when it went.... but ive done it so many times now that it only took me half hour to change! think previous owner went a bit mad tightening them before.
-
this still isnt quite the end of the update by the way guys. there are a couple more small bits left that should be on over the next week! so watch this space!
-
i have considered asking you to seek me out some coilys, but these are too comfy to get rid of. i love em. altho i am interested in maybe finding a ducktail depending on how much they cost? lol yours was stupidly low on the steelies mate, so be prepaired for the scrapeage! yeah, could bring out the small camera and take some snaps after work as i finish at 5. i'll try and remember the pipe, but im shooting out quite early both nights this weekend so maybe sunday? nice one you should put it on anywho. be good to see one on a n/a! im glad you like it phil mate! i wasnt sure what everyo

yeah, i wanted the genuine factory splitter... but they were going for far too much money. maybe if i find a cheap one i'll have it. cheers buddy. i wanted to spray my old ones red before i found these, but i wanted 14's ideally. cheers mate, we'd have to see what the splitter look like on your na! would look pretty sweet! sold on the coilys! that was a delivered price by the way...
