  1. Hey, Ayrshire's not to bad for exotics... Davie Shaw (father of charlie shaw who drifts the 4WD 600BHP Cossie powered Focus round knockhill) Has an F360, and Aston Martin DB9 a few other pretty fly cars and a bunch of classic tractors that he collects -- he makes his money from Milking!

  2. what sort of revs would put me in the heavy footed class?

    Back to Drivers Ed 101:

Personally I usually pull away from junctions at 1000rpm or so... you know, like just above idle. Then as you're releasing the clutch put more gas slowly up to 2000-2500rpm, change gear et voila! No wheelspin?

  3. Yes -- I now own one... it's reliable for me (well the EM light's constantly coming on but I know why so it's all good!) But yeah, my mate raved about his for ages, took me runs and yeah they're quick with a few mods, but they just don't have the "what's that" factor that the Glanza had... shame really

But I browse SCN all the time and every day someone else posts up about a different sensor that goes... and people always say, "yeah that's quite a comon problem"

I really want to come back to the Glanza population (even though they're getting much more common) -- Thinking of getting a shitter to commute to work and getting a track/slag Glanza zooped up!

  4. My bro split his Rover 200 headlamps back in the day to "de-orange" the indicators. If they're bonded just use a hairdryer and concentrate on one spot at a time and slowly work your way around and prise/scrape with a flathead screwdriver.

It'll take ages -- then he just used mastik to seal them back up. But make sure to make a good seal or you'll get condensation in the lamps.

I was always looking for a single passenger Glanza lamp for sale because I had planned to split it and make a cold air intake.

  5. i think mines is overfueling aswell tho lol, after my glanza's bn allowed to 'stretch its legs' i get a nice big wiff o optimax lol, not too bothered about it cause it means that my pistons aint gonna turn into jelly lol

Just read this -- Running slightly rich will cool down combustion temps, but running overly rich can cause problems too like borewash and in the end perhaps ring and piston failure too! I wouldn't take it to be a good thing! That's why you should really get things like RRFPR's set up on RR's!

  6. I'm getting my UKSC fix right now... in an internet cafe about 2min from my new flat. I don't think I'll have broadband up and running in my flat till next month :p

I've browsed on my Palmpilot when I was down south because my room had free wireless access. Looked just like on Joz's PSP.

  7. I don't have the part number off-hand but I'll tell you I paid £9.50each filter (I bought 2 at the time for reg oil changes) I'm sure you can pay about £2 for a blueprint filter which will be just the same.

  8. One of my friends from school was applying for the Fire Service! It sounded pretty hard to get in... have you been accepted yet? He did his fitness assessment in august last year, then he did a few more interviews and he's still waiting to hear from them!

  9. I thought I could see a leaf stuck to the front bumper.... was thinking you were single handedly mowing down the forrests over there in that monster truck, but now just realised you can clear see under the car! Looks cool!

  10. I was on holiday, came back, helped my girlfriend paint her flat for 3days solid in time for her new carpets being laid, spent the rest of my week moving stuff into my new flat... except my computer which is still at home for now. I'm going to give it a format and full reinstall before I take it up as I don't have the internet hooked up in the flat yet.

  11. P.S

If your wheels needed balanced you would get vibration through your steering wheel at certain speeds. not so much what you're describing

And yes, about 32psi is right for the size of tyre (it varies depending on what load you're carrying/motorway or B road driving etc...)

  12. With wider, lower profile tyres your wheels tend to "tramline" -- ie they will follow the littlest groove and bump in the road, though I wouldn't imagine this would happen with 15" wheels with a 55(??) profile tyre?

I'd suggest getting your aligment done as after I hit a kerb in my ibiza my car felt the same... had the tracking/aligment done and it feels fine now.
