After I got my car - a guy I know suggested this company - AutoAdvan He's imported a few cars with them, Hilux's though, not really performance cars. But says they're pretty cheap and get decent cars to your specification. Worth a try.

It would raise the compression - not too sure how much of a gain you'd get from it though.

Yeah I'm totally loving the drive - springs/dampers are pretty damn stiff but makes it fun in the corners Not really been driving it too hard yet, just spiritedly! The cows actually came halfway across the field to see my car (or the funny little black box that was flashing light at them ) but made for a nice pic I thought. As for the girlfriend - well she likes it but the ride is a bit stiff for her I think. Just think she's happy I've finally got it and can stop harping on about how long I' had been waiting to get it. Gonna pop out and wash the car again - parked it under a tree, it's

But avoid any from the Keighley area

Cheers mate. Saw you guys in troon - was just going to Scott's at the marina for dinner. It was funny because had spent all weekend telling my gilfriend that Glanza's were pretty rare then we ended up seeing you guys twice in one night Needs a good wash and polish - But I've been working a lot lately. Glad you like the car mate

He took the Spelling of Glanza so I'm hoping he was gonna put it on the policy. But it's defo been insured as a 97 import turbo starlet if he hasn't put Glanza on the actual policy. I'll see what it says when the documentation comes in.

The London Met police put police livery on a Lambo for the start of the Gumball rally - But don't know if that's going to be part of the force really. Think the Japs have been playing a little too much NFS Most Wanted And what are the little wind deflectors on the bonnets all about?

Well modding might need to go on the back burner for a few months now. Paid a little more than I wanted for the car - but it was local and in perfect nick. Paid a lot more on insurance than I wanted too so that's made a huge dent in my modifying budget. We'll see how it goes... suppose everyone says tat when they get their new car

Have you done the 1st/2nd gear boost bypass G? That'll bring on the engine management light. Heard you just cross the pipes back for a wee while and it goes away.
-
Looking good Geo - Finally some shots in the daylight Are your wheels 16"? Any reason you're going through so many shockers or is it just the roads? Looking forward to getting mine now

Yep phone up... guy asked the usual details then first one about the car was: He said: "Is it modified in any way" I said; "It's got aftermarket alloy wheels" He jumped in immediatley and said: "Sorry we don't insure cars with modifications" And since that is the only modification I had gotten around to listing I assumed that's what he meant.

Think they might have only sold 1 set joz

So Si did norwich union list Glanza on there database or did you Say it was a facelift GT (Which hasn't worked for me yet ) Yeah - It's pretty immaculate... and standard bar a couple things (Which I kind of wanted)
-
For a glanza specifically? [edit] Did you get quotes for a Glanza I meant through those sites? [/edit]

It's a 97 mate... got a couple of dodgy phone pics. Was trying to keep hush hush till I got it outside my door and had a chance to give it a good sparkle and take some pics of it but need to find out this first It's the one in my sig

Hi I've got round to buying myself a Glanza guys. But I've been trying to insure the thing all week but nobody lists the glanza. I've tried explaining to them that it's just a facelift GT but that's not been working - They say it's because they don't have a 97 turbo on their system (or a 96turbo anymore as it turns out) How have people been insuring their Glanza's recently? I've tried Adrian Flux and a lot of the magazine insurers and best so far (a couple have yet to ring back) is Adrian Flux £1538 TPFT which is a bloody joke since elephant quoted me £600 for a 95GT!?! Any

Looking good mate. Hope you get pics up of your "modified" nippon bumper. Does look very street sleeper'esque
-
Get me some nice pics and I'll have a go m'dear I like to keep mine simple though.

Yeah an ideally sized FMIC probably won't cause noticable lag. Just don't go to big for the turbo you're running. My big bro runs a pretty monster FMIC on his S13 and you can see it's effect on his power graph - But there isn't much noticable lag when driving.
-
TMIC Pros: Not much... Does the job up to a point Short piping route aids spool up Lower pressure drop across core Cons: tends to suffer from heat soak, especially when stationary Less airflow over fins Probably won't be suitable for lots of boost or a bigger turbo FMIC Pros: Looks Good Better cooling as the core is directly in the flow Less Heatsoak Will allow you to upgrade turbo/run more boost further down the line Cons: Introduces a bit of lag - time it takes for the turbo to fill the cooler Length of piping also introduces a bit of lag That's just off the top of my head. Anyone else

Hah... lucky sod! As late as I always was getting my uni work done I always got it into the uni print unit a day or two early... too many horror stories of peoples work getting lost etc. You must've done something nice for someone lately - Cosmic Karma and all that

Oh and Paul made 460BHP on the rollers this morning... then he lost boost from somewhere (we're thinking the tubby)
