  1. LOOOL this tread is too funny You have my sympathy Blair haha
  2. Thank you all for the kind words! Thanks, Yeah I really liked it there when I went for interview! Thanks man, yep definitely a challenging career but ultimately it's an amazing opportunity to help others I've been buzzing all day, my mouth is starting to hurt from smiling so much haha I've got an interview at Glasgow next month and am yet to hear from my other choices (Keele and Southampton), but it's a relief to know I'm definitely going to uni next year! WOOP!
  3. After 4 straight rejections last year, 2 gap years, 2 years of grafting for my A-Levels & a LOT of sacrifices...I'VE GOT AN UNCONDITIONAL OFFER for Medicine at Lancaster University!!!!!! HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE! .......That is all..
  4. Common - The Corner http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/common/corner--18714199
  5. Fcuking hell don't get me started..My mum drives this French BOAT.. Took me a bloody LIFETIME changing the bulbs! All is well though, hopefully we're gonna buy a Golf TDi soon
  6. x2 Very good filter had mine for a few months, no complaints to be made
  7. Yeah I haven't got a clue on this so I would never try it lol..I am interested in getting it done though, properly.. Does anyone know what effect Advanced Timing has on driving characteristics? E.g. power, torque, responsiveness etc?
  8. Looking good man! Should be sweet once it's all sprayed up That bumper is begging for a proper exhaust though lol Is the Spoiler LED missing, can't see it in the pic?
  9. Yeah I hope so! Haha I would be more than happy if I had a Turbo to listen to rather than tunes! Cheers fella! Yep I can't recommend them enough, had some fun schooling some fool who challenged me in a Fiesta today
  10. Welcome to the club mate You will feel quite a drop in power getting an N/A starlet after a Vtec Civic lol but they are decent for little 1.3s A few cheap mods should see you going from 75bhp to near enough 90bhp
  11. I've also been wondering about advanced timing, can anyone shed some light on what effect it has and where I can get it done?
  12. Thanks a lot guys, you've been really helpful as usual! Can't wait to get them on now
  13. Maybe because they've been inflated so high before? I wouldn't worry to be honest, it's a lot safer running at that pressure than 45psi.. Imagine hitting a nail or something, a blowout at higher pressure would be more dangerous! :S
  14. Definitely increased tyre wear, possible damage to suspension if there's no "give" in the tyre?
  15. Thanks for the help lads, I shall give it a go when I have someone to lend me a hand Oh and about bending the clip, looking at the last pic, should I bend it this way "<" or this ">" ?
  16. Avensis Throttle-Body...Is that the same on as the 7afe? I've read somewhere recently that it had been done on a 4efe?
  17. DAMN 45psi is wayy overinflated! You're not confusing the 45 in 195/45/15 for psi are you? Because that's the sidewall size! You should be inflating around 33psi front tyres and 31psi back, maybe slightly higher if you want better economy (35psi, 33psi) Get the tyre pressure right and see how it feels lol if it's still to harsh, go for 50 profile tyres (195/50/15) and they should be more comfortable!
  18. Tell me about it lol Yeah luckily I haven't as of yet *touch wood* I've been rolling down the windows when I see a cop lol I've been trying to get hold of the guy who did them, keep going to his shop and he's never there plus there's bubbles in both windows so he better be sorting it for free lol Nope GT spoiler, it fits! http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....p;hl=gt+spoiler http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....p;hl=gt+spoiler 2nd one is obviously smoothed in though! At the time I bought it, Glanza spoilers were quite a lot more (£100) and I thought I might do something different, as a Glanza spoiler would look a bit out of place with an N/A rear bumper..and I like the wider LED brake light on the GT unit
  19. Hey there, I've focused on relatively cheap handling mods for my N/A, which have made a massive difference! GT Front Strut brace sharpens up the front end quite nicely, and goes well with a Rear Strut Brace which you can pick up for around £70 2nd hand..It stops the back end from wallowing around so much Whiteline's Anti-Lift Kit drastically reduces lift under acceleration and dive under braking, and also makes the steering MUCH more direct (but not heavy)..They're around £60 new, but bearing in mind you'll need to get the car aligned..It's made the car much more predictable in steering so I highly recommend it If you want to spend a bit more, you can get a Whiteline Rear Anti-Roll Bar, which is easily the best handling mod for any Starlet..It REALLY tightens up the back of the car, and makes it a lot more agile! These are around £130 new.. I've bought all three and I can't get enough of driving the car now You should also think about Braking mods if you want to start going quicker too (Dot 5.1 Fluid, Front Braided lines, GreenStuff pads) And stripping out the car helps a lot if that's an option available to you Anyhoo I hope that helps
  20. Okay so I recently bought these Earl's Front brake lines for my N/A from TM Developments And I attempted to fit them the other day..I removed the old hose from the passenger side and cleaned up the bolts and areas where the new hoses will connect to, everything bolts up okay, but there's one problem.. Over here in the arch..(Nightspirit I hope you don't mind me borrowing the picture ) Where the braking system pipe would bolt up to the new hose, there is a clip which holds the stock hose in place. Here's a pic of the clip The old hose.. And the clip lined up to the housing Earl's hose As you can see, the clip is too narrow to fill the gap on the new hose and I tried fitting it back into the arch, but obviously it was just loose and the clip fell off, leaving the hose unsecured I wanted to ask if anyone has used Earl's braided hoses before and whether they had come across the same problem? The only solution I can think of is to either get a thicker clip fabricated, or order 2 or 3 pairs of the clips so they hold the Earl's hoses in place. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks! Amjad
  21. Thanks for all the kind words guys, it makes it all worthwhile! @shaneyb & The_Notorious_C_A_T yeah I wanted to get the car handling nicely since it's identical to the GT/Glanza in terms of chassis..There's too much you can do to N/A's in engine tuning so I wanted to make the most of handling and make it more fun to drive! Although having said that I'm looking forward to what Enzo has cooking with tuning his SR @enots, The OEM granny seats are terrible so I'd be changing those if I had them..With the buckets though, they weren't dodgy or anything, but they needed harnesses which became really impractical (I've got mates & siblings in the car all the time) so I replaced them for the GT ones which I'm very happy with, they look and feel the part! I think my next job will be to get my braided lines & pads fitted, then front tints sorted, I got them done a few weeks ago having said, "I don't want them as dark as the back" only to come back later and to see they WERE ..So I need to get them redone in Light Smoke Then gotta save up to get my GT spoiler sprayed and fitted and consequently my roof reprayed (as that idiotic wing's mounts are bolted into the roof) Oh and my Head-unit has died 8 years isn't bad I guess..so need to pick one up asap, no music is driving me mental lol
  22. Anup, the only things I can think off adding to that list is Front ARB (TRD etc), C-Pillar Bar, Lower Arm Bar, Rear lower strut brace (I don't know if you can get one for Starbo's) and Polyurethrane Bushes all round if you want to be really thorough..
  23. Enzo is currently developing an N/A project, aiming for 100bhp/litre so if you wanna tune up your 4efe I'd keep my eye on what he gets up to
  24. Haha and it is I checked on a 2009 calendar 1)silverglanza-coming from pontypool 2)ep82_girl-swansea way 3)nutnut (all the way from Surrey) 4)Amjad - Green N/A Cardiff (not 100% confirmed) 5) 6) 7)
  25. Dunno if I can come, may be working as it's a Friday. Will let you guys know sooner to the date
