  1. Hi guys and gals,

Okay so I'm gonna be fitting my RARB (non-adjustable) within the next few hours hopefully! Just 2 questions; I've taken a look at the fitting guide on AUStarletClub

(which doesn't seem to be working at the moment http://www.austarletclub.com/forums/lofive....php/t878.html)

but I was unsure of some things

    1. How far up do you mount the L-shape brackets onto the chassis?

    2. I know the main bar part which clamps onto the axle should slightly tilt upwards towards the back, but should the arms that link to the L-shape brackets be completely vertical or leaning towards the back of the car?

Here's a pic in case I'm not making any sense :)

    Thanks in advance!

  2. I'm planning on getting this done next year hopefully! :)

It's pretty much a straight swap, you can use the 4efe ECU, using the 5efe ECU gives problems with immobiliser apparently..The only thing you need to swap around is the throttle position sensor I think..your best bet is to talk to the member "Project C.F.A", he did his 5efe conversion recently :)

In regards to insurance, the 5efe is pretty much identical to the 4efe, bar the sticker on the rocker cover, so make of that what you will lol

  3. Be careful though, 100mm is fucking huge you might have trouble fitting it in a good place lol.

If you really want to fuck around with it, move the rad over a few inches to the left then you can get a really good position right behind the bumper straight up to the filter.

Yeah I'm going for 3" pipe, cant be bothered moving the rad but I'm gonna get a few lengths going lol I'll see if that helps :D

Be careful with that cheap stuff mate! You get what you pay for and that cheap stuff is just extraction hose that is available from B&Q. I would think that stuff will melt if you get it near a heat soucre.

Just my 2 pence worth. :)

    Jason :D

Yeah that was just the first one I spotted, there's some heatproof ones I saw too, thanks for reminding me though :)

  4. Right so I've got an induction kit on my EP now, but I'm in need of a cool air feed.

I've had a look on Ebay for some hosing but it's stupidly expensive £8 for a metre length?

I wanted to buy multiple lengths to get a few cold feeds going to the filter..can anyone recommend anywhere I can buy some cheaper hosing online or in a hardware store or something?

    Thanks!

  5. a RARB it is then  ...safe man! im confused the 22mm RARB is £117 and 24mm RARB is £142...wats the diffrence????? worth the extra money?? and also heavy duty or normal? thanks anup :(

Got links Anup? I think the cheaper one may be a front ARB. You can get them in different thickness-es lol

The Rear ones I believe only come in one thickness, and are either adjustable (around £160) or non-adjustable (around £140)

And yup they're supposed to be heavy duty, higher strength than OEM units (we don't even HAVE an OEM Rear ARB :p)

    Hope that helps! :)

  6. Sounds awesome dude!

I had the privilege of flying on an A380 when I went to Malaysia last year (Singapore Airlines).....Amazing machine! :)

Oh and if you get to stop in Singapore Airport for a while, check it out, it is WOW!

  7. I know this might sound a bit stupid but im new to starlets so im gonna ask anyway, do the bump strips on these cars just peel right off or do they leave holes that need to be filled in, Cheers Nice car Bon, lookin sweet

All you need is a hairdryer/heat gun & bug/tar remover to get the glue off no holes left

  8. It's not an EK9 or something, it IS a Starlet after all, it may not get rid of all body roll but everyone who's bought one has notice a VAST improvement..I'm saving up for one now

I'd definitely go for RARB, if you get alloys now, alloys the car will still handle shite, RARB will make it a helluva lot more enjoyable to drive dude!
