just got off the fone to the guy rebuilding the hybrid. he says the balance was out a fair bit and caused some damage to the comp wheel due to clearance issues , he has already got a rebuild kit but is just trying to source a wheel. he says no mesh was sucked through and i should hopefully have the turbo back really soon:D also got a few new goodies coming:D so next couple of weeks should be interesting

i baught some dodgey dvds off a wee chinese dude at my work and halloween was really dark and couldnt see a thing and when i went to watch bronson it was a prono lol happy days

forgot about this thread. been to the cinema a lot latley. went to see triangle the other night= pish! real headfuck though gamer was a great film i really enjoyed that would recomend it. funny people was shit too expected a lot more from that district 9 was good i liked that. the missus hated it lol

i got a hybrid ct9 second hand for a bargain but i blew it lol. you would be aswell buying a hybrid mate its gonna be cheaper than going tdo4, as russel said by the time you find or have new mani and decat fabricated to suit the td04 its gonna be a lot more expensive than buying a hybrid that just bolts on.

personally i wouldnt touch that. it says it has a hybrid and an fcd and up rated fuel pump but no rrfpr its obv ran over fuel cut! and that looks like the standard manifold and also has the standard tmic id stay clear

thanks for the replys guys. tried foning you last night jez. took the turbo down today to be looked at. the guys gonna fone me when he gets it open. was in his office and there was a mountain of turbos lol. cant wait to get it back now:D by the way jezza the place is called revrite

the decat is fine bud. i know the ab mani's are shit but ive had that decat on for over a year and its been fine and still going strong. the noise im getting isnt a boost leak its more of a scraping noise on boost its really hard to explain. imagine if the turbine was spining and you touched it with somthing.

how are your seats sitting? they steady enough bolted on to your standard rails? edit. it would be a crime not to drop an fte in after all this. get it done! i command you! lol

it a full apexi sytem mate with an autobahn decat. it was fine for 2 days mate so i cant see that being the problem. its a second hand turbo and hasnt been used for a few years so i dont know if somthing has went internally? my pipework is all fine i checked then double checked then re checked everything before taking the turbo off

ok guys got the hybrid off today, had a good look at it and there is nothing visibly wrong with it. the compressor wheel is in the exact same perfect condition as it was in before i put the turbo on and the exhaust side is perfect too, there is no shaft play what so ever and when it was on the car it wasnt smoking. what could be the problem here? could it be a bearing or somthing making the noise? it was boosting ok, then on full boost it would drop from .8 bar to around .5 and make the kind of noise youd expect if somthing was touching the turbine like a high pitched scraping whine, its really hard to explain. i really doubt its just a boost leak due to the kind of noise its making. i really dont know what to do i dont want to send the turbo away to be rebuilt if there is nothing wrong with it and be charged for nothing. any help will be really appreciated. im losing my mind!

got some bits and bobs off jezza the other day, set about fitting them right away and the i/c pipe that stopped my relocation kit fitting:( and killing my hybrid lol if the weather is nice 2morro im taking the turbo off and sending it off to be rebuilt and the mani re welded AGAIN! also going to tidy up the engine bay a bit. got some red trd leads and some red hoses and shit. if i can find the time im going to re- do my wheels with a red lip and white centres and some new rubber.

aye they new bits look ace:D cheers for them:D i cant remember the name of the place now lol its re... somthing lol guy seems ok and seems to know a bit and his garage was full of scoobys and evos.

if its going quack quack id be worried lol just kidding mate. what actuator you running? look at your actuator and see if it is still connected to the wastgate arm on the turbo. sometimes it can come apart if the circlip at the back isnt on properly
