have a google at msa cage regulations, it will give you two alternative diameter and thickness tubes that can be used, as for lengths of tube etc it will all be down to cage design. take a look at custom cages website, they have a fitting guide for their weld in cage and the work is quite extensive, maybe show that video to you fabricator and give him the pipe dimensions and go from there

as iin pipe dimensions or general length ? or design?

will do buddy, tis the whole point of this thread -
so after we have started the first stages of development for our inlets, im lloking for peoples opinions on inlet design. i found a thread that was done by an evo specialist about different types of inlet and the design of the inside etc so it seems from this guys findings that velocity stacks dont really work but decrease power and torque thread is here its quite a good read http://highboostforum.com/forum/showthread.php/20866-Intake-manifold-dyno-tests-and-facts-only goes rather in depth as to what the inside of an inlet is like and how one should be made for optimal flow.

from what ive read and seen tapered runners are better suited for gaining power with forced induction and stacks are better when n/a.once we get one in our hands ill be making one up in cad and running a flow simulation on it to see how it will perform in theory -

They will be tested, can you explain what you mean by too large and the wrong shape? if they are proved to work on higher power applications then they will sell @ jake there is no reason for them to cost the best part of 1k with a throttle body, the simple material costs and time taken to make them doesnt equate to near 1k -
there was anew hybrid on here the other day for £200 have a look in for sale section would be immense
