  1. Looks great Jag. All the best with it.
  2. You my man, are a life saver. Pics would be fantastic matey. I owe you two now!
  3. Silly question but what sort of condition are they in?
  4. Uh oh.... I've just found metal shards on the camshaft. Anyone know where I can get cams for the 4E-FE?
  5. Sorry for the late reply. Seems the plugs were fooked. The car was running a little lean at idle but after 5 miles or so it was fine. Plugs have gone white and bubbly, after just sitting for so long I presume. Shame about the camshafts though, wonder if Piper do anything for these cars.... Haha! Thanks a bunch Gary, I owe you one.
  6. Plugs and plug leads are a ok. Well, i'm a little concerned towards taking it for a run just in case something does go wrong. Then again, it could just be me getting worried .
  7. Just gave the cam cover a good clean really, took it off and saw the damage. Nothing ignition or timing wise touched. Sounds 'rougher' than usual. Sorry, i'm trying to explain it the best I can lol.
  8. Just started her up and it's idleing(sp?)very oddly, like the time between each compression is longer somehow. The thing that puzzles me, is that there's the same wear on both shafts but some worse than others. The odd one being without any wear at all! Is it worth me doing a compression test for safe measure? Thanks, Iwan P.S. Thanks T'elle!
  9. Thanks Gary. The rocker cover came off hassle free luckily. It's around 2-4mm wide and 2-3mm deep.
  10. Right then, a slight concern has risen while the engine was getting the once over. I found some damage on the camshafts, yes both. I'm no mechanic, but I know they aren't meant to be there. Any help will be greatly appriciated.
  11. Patience Galliano, they will come soon.
  12. Thread revival! It's been a while alright. Engine is out and undergoing some serious cleaning! along with everything else really. That is all for now :surrender: . Edit: Thanks Brewin!
  13. A fantastic event. Will be going again this year too, a passanger ride in a R26 R awaits this year . See you there.
  14. Nice video mate! I'm off there tomorrow .
  15. Ah right, my apologies. Looks good by the way.
  16. A little question if you don't mind. Why do you need such a large FMIC for a N/A powerplant?, i'd understand if it was a turbo or an engine producing very high tempratures. Thanks, Iwan
  17. I sense that Galliano is back in business!
  18. Some teaser pics before I shoot off for the Ring: Doh..... I don't think they'll be anything along the way of updates as this coming week will be very busy! Stay tuned...
  19. Good idea! £50 doesn't sound too bad, was expecting something along the lines of £60.
  20. Thanks mate . Could prove useful to other SR owners too.
  21. Worth a try. If I can't get hold of them, i'll get SJS Designs to make a copy set.
