saying that, the first time I did that to my engine, (cyl 2 and 3) they crumbled like the image above.. got new pistons for free (very lucky) swapped them over and all was good for about 8 months until I blew the HG lol..

option 3 for the long run imo, ive paid a lot in different engines over the years... worth the initial hit short term for reliability!

Im pretty sure i got the silver one, bearing in mind mines starting a 1.6l, it starts it no problem even after sitting a few weeks.
Only thing is, mines got UK size terminals so if yours is an import you will need one with import terminals so maybe pop in and see if they have the removable rings or something.

Ended up going for a yuasa battery (from halfords) 580cca 5 year guarantee iirc, used a trade card and got it for about £45.
Was looking for a solid cell race battery but they dont have a big reserve so alarms and radios will soon run them flat. The other option was optima or varley but i ended up being a cheap skate haha

Hi guys,
Just a quick one before I ruin my lenses - has anyone taken the rear EP82 lights apart? if so how?
I see two screws which I have removed but I think it is all glued together.. any insight would be appreciated!

Ok did you use the g6 shifter cables of the original starlet ones. What size wheels do you have on it just out if intrest.i am building it for sprint racing so top speed doesn't really bother me just trying to get the gear ratio best for acceleration. Would you say it gets to the top end in fourth and fifth easier as my NA struggles a bit in that respect thanks for your help
Kept the starlet cables and the starlet shifter - just needed to make an adjustment to the inside of the shifter to allow it to move to the reverse position on the g6 box.
im running 16" wheels, im running a 6 speed box on a blitz k24 externally gated setup, which boosts earlier than a td04 but is a tad laggier than a ct9 hybrid, and it flies through the gears. It does feel like the engine feels better under load on the 6 speed box compared to the 5.
