Because some are total and utter retards. The genuine and honest officers out there I have no issue with. Take into account the other night, met a few of local lads down at mcdonalds, all genuine car enthusiasts not boy racers. I got threatened with having my car confiscated on the spot due to my exhaust, which in all fairness, isnt that loud on idle or no boost. Argued it out with him saying he had no reason to confiscate my car unless it wasnt insured/taxed/mot'd or road legal. He then stated that if he gave me a section 59 he could take it on the spot, which again is wrong, unless i've been given one before and got caught doing the same thing, thats the only time he can confiscate my vehicle. And just to add insult, he didnt bother going round to the sainsburys car park just on the other side of the hedge where kids were wheel spinning/racing/handbraking round the car park genuinely asking for trouble. Tell me how thats fair? D

Woodhead pass is far better, smoother roads and less dangerous. Bourkey was going too fast and overtaking when he had his accident. The road is fine. Its just how you treat it. D

I'm only going on what i've been told, dependent on manufacturer, the heat range merely relates to the optimum operating and self cleaning properties of a plug. So dependent on the state of tune, a higher power engine will of course create more heat, warranting a 'hotter' plug. A colder plug would merely overheat and fail, a too hotter plug will foul up and limit its performance. The heat range doesnt have anything to do with the temperature of the spark/ignition itself. Certain manufacturers work their heat range scale differently to others. NGK's works out the lower the number, the higher the operating temp. Heres a link from NGK's own website to verify. Dont you want to be going for a heat range 6? Maybe 5? I gap mine at 0.9 D

The older engines needed a rebuild every say 70k miles as a recommendation, newer ones have proved far more reliable. A lad from work has one thats done just over 110k miles and says it still runs just aswell as the day he got it D

Try searching for 'hks actuator' or 'map sensor', uksc search function doesn't like short words. Always seemed to find more specific threads on tgtt for some reason. The search results are more direct if you get me? Think this is why quite a few people start up threads about something that's been asked before because they can't seem to find what they want through search. D

Good site, loads of info and technical threads, better search function too. Only really use it for sales and tech searching. Be a shame for it to die D
