small update on this. gearbox nice n cleaned and painted head back from being skimmed. gonna be fun painting that :S and since he decided not to get it post and polished took it into my own hands to get all the ports so i can see my face in them lol cant see it in the pic but it is very shiny one of the guys he works with suggested he didnt polish all the ports . especially the inlet side as he said the fuel wouldnt mix properly. any truth in that at al ? in my head i just think the fuel is sprayed in so it would be kinda hard for it not to mix.

little update had to buy a new exhaust because my decat is falling to bits and its an old style wepr sytem so decat i bought didnt fit it soo got me a jperformance exhaust. and got this for it could have painted the blitz better but brush was rubbish lol. now i need to go out in the rain and fit these

dunno if you may have already but maybe worth picking up the little metal/rubber washers for the rocker cover bolts because they leak a bit sometimes. well mine both have anyway lol cheap as chips.

what the man said. if you remember which way it goes round then its all simple.

i say to save the arguements. install a bit of tgtt strictness and any threads bitchin about tgtt results in a week ban . just causes pointless arguements between folk that usually get along fine.

be good if you do your build before me because im gonna aim for 300 so can just have a wee look at the setup you choose. id say if it can be done on a smaller td05 then why not.

it may be on the cards but he gonna do the other things first. was moments away from buyin a turbo kit from the same guy as the engine but he backed out lol.

clean out new seats loads of wee bits n bobs Engine : skunk2 cam and inlet manifold uprated fuelrail fpr lightened flywheel new exhaust mani good plugs and leads advanced timing and i think thats all thats decided so far so let me know what ya think Cheers Russell

we started this about a week ago. he bought the engine about 2 weeks ago and the car the other day. not bad prices. 300 for engine that runs fine but didnt matter anyway and 150 for car ( the alloys were on it lol ) just a few pics of the progress so far and ill get to what the plans are at the end. basically that the starting point. we did have another eg but it was a 1.3 carb so would involve changing the fuel tank and lines etc . the shell was mint on the carb model aswell but he decided to go for this not so solid shell because it would save time doin that but instead

im sure the pcv valve closes under boost. might be why it stops blowin when ya put throttle down but i have no idea how much your pushin the throttle so could be wrong

because the thread was closed makes it in no way fact lol. the man has said he will go away and dyno again so i dont think he would have said that if he didnt know it was possible.

its fine i have a bltiz decat and just for easiness in the future will be buying an exhaust to fit that

yeh i just text streetracer_starlet and i have an old style wepr exhaust so thats the problem. i have a wepr decat tho buuuuuuuut i suspect that its the newer one because the flanges are different lol. nothings really goin my way at the moment. new exhaust time with no money . 3 decats and the only one that fits you can see daylight through the sides when its off so might not hold for long. who designed the wepr stuff. i need to know so i can not like them.

this one wont fit my exhaust either. didnt even check if the flanges ligned up because they werent even flush with eachother lol where the old one sits vertical the blitz one sits with an angle about 30 dergrees pointid slightly downward. begining to think i have a weird exhaust. any help would be appreciated . as micky said just because it stopped doesnt mean its fixed lol soo many things to that on cars. most annoyingly when you take it to a garage and then get told theres nothing wrong lol
