I will be there in the Mex, but the reason i am going is to take Dan for a spin
-
My bro lives in Tokyo with his wife and newborn kid.
Haven't had a call from them yet but im sure they are fine
-
Yeah jas yours in ripping mate, bit bigger then are's haha
Where you go drive yours as ya got slicks!!!
Mines not ready yet, will be fully road legal and insured though when done. The slicks i just bought as they where uber cheap £10 each. Meant i had a rolling chassis then
Your will be EPIC with an R1 engine
-
Exact same place i bought mine from Sparkdog Did take nearly 2 weeks for mine to come through but not like im in a rush is it LOL
-
Whoop whoop, another buggy Now im not 'The only buggy in the village'
I did think about an R1 engine for mine but my one is a bit bigger than that, in fact its flippin huge

what zaust you got on there?
I have a full 4-2-1 mani and decat and straight through mazda speed exhaust... not that loud tbh. i want one of them top speed exhausts
I would have got another straight away but apparently my mazda speed exhaust is super rare as they didnt make many in full stainless steel
i think a small vid of the mega rasp is needed!
Its only a MX5 Parts exhaust and silenced decat but im really happy with the sound so can't complain. Just need that 4-2-1 to finish the system off.
I will get my mate to send me the dyno video and upload it for you guys

Following sundays sounds good.
Lol at the other MX-5 guy, 110db?!? thats loud. flames FTW
Yes quite loud i guess, sounds 'Raspy as Fuck' as my mate likes to say, If the weathers good i will get the roof down so you can experience the full on raspyness of it. The exhaust is only a generic 'off the shelf' version and has a silenced de-cat. next mod will be a stainless 4-2-1 manifold and that should make it even louder!
Like i said its not a quick car by all means but is a really fun car to drive and i just can't get enough of it!

Awesome, this weekend? if thats good for you?
What did she put out, spill the beans
Depends when this weekend, Saturday during the day i am in Basingstoke breaking my lexus further, and Sunday i am respraying a mates Jet Ski I can do Saturday evening but might be better during the day when you can actually see the car, can maybe do the following Sunday?!?!? i think???
Car made 99bhp at the wheels, doesn't sound like lots but its about 91/92 (115at the fly) standard and the car is 22 years old so i am VERY happy with that. Another guy who had a turbo'd bbr mx5 that went on the rollers after me made only 104bhp(meant to be 150bhp at the fly stock ). I almost died laughing as he was so upset and was slatting me all day up to that point.
Also did 110db sound wise and then spat a flame and popped on the over run, was really shocked as i didn't expect it to flame, think thats why i got the trophy! There where evo's and scooby's flamming but as mine was a surprise to everyone i won it

Been Looking at Mx-5's today, found a nice red one today.
Could i come and look at yours Jas? An maybe gat a passenger ride
Anytime you like Dan, will happily take you for a spin mate and tell you what i know about them, only problem is that mine really is a MINTER so be prepared to be upset that you won't find one as good
Just got back from a RR day today and im very happy with the results, good healthy engine and i actually won an award for best flames out the back

You have no idea how close to that picture it was!
-
I don't think there should be any rats in the workshop / garage though
There shouldn't be any rats in the workshop but there are! Seen a few scurry about and even caught a baby one with a ice cream tub, a stick and bit of string, almost died laughing!
-
Just put traps around the buggy
Actually it might be ok, the rats would just sense the pure evil of it and stay away. Like how they know when trouble is coming and feck off
-
hmmmmm....
cheese would actually be easier to work with, although i would come in to work in the morning and the rats would have eaten the Demon

*** Small Update ***
Well, heres the proof im not dead, yep progress, only a small amount but my thoughts are getting back to the Demon. Still breaking the Lexus and have so many other projects on the go its unreal, but work will pick up again on the Demon.
Anyway, got a few more bits glued into the nosecone and sanded out. Still a lot to do but the pics show i have done something, however small it is

New mission now to make my car look like those pics you posted up!!!!
Already have tinted front/rear indicators so the smoked sidelights will look good. Going to get some sexy rimmage at some point me thinks. Not in a huge rush, at the end of the day i have wheels on the car and new tyres, wheels don't have a single mark on them so all good. Plus i need to get back on the buggy so not a urgent one.
Those rims you have look flippin sexy as!!!!!!!!!! We need some actual pics of the car when you get the coilovers and those wheels on!!!!!!

Looking good dude. I looked at a set of TSI's but decided against them in the end. I have a spare set of standard indicators here so i have put them in the oven and split them. Going to spray the inside black and de-tango them. ;)
Are you actually going to post up some pics of your whole car at any point??? ;)
-
When the insurance is due on my mx5 i was going to try and insure it this way! Its 22 years old and mint so may be able to blag it as a classic?!?!?
Plus the uber cheap insurance on the Demon will mean WIN all round for me ;)

Sorry this is still in the exact same place it was a few months ago now. I literally haven't touched this in ages now and i really don't have the motivation to get on with it at the moment. But don't worry there are no thoughts of selling up.
Been playing with the new mazda a bit and doing a few mods to that so have just left the buggy for a while. Im still breaking the lexus, problem is that its 40 miles away in Basingstoke so can only get to it once a week, if that!
but don't worry i will get the lexus broken down and will be back on the buggy eventually.
Sorry i couldn't update this more but im literally rushing about and haven't had time to breath let alone work on this. Have 2 cars that im currently breaking plus sorting out mot and stuff on the mazda plus i have several side line projects that require my attention, oh and working a full time job. I can't remember the last 'day off' i had ;)

Niiiiice, really loving my 5 as well!... nowhere near as clean as yours but tbh its going to be hard to find one cleaner lol.
really fallen in love with the handling, was blown away at how planted and amazing these cars are round a corner!
what you getting wheel wise? was mega bummed when i found i had missed the xxr group buy on mx5nutz
Know exactly what you mean. Handles on rails now actually has meaning!!!!! Just wants to grip. Been scared to take it to the redline but finally found it at 7.5k and was screaming like mad, sounds great!!!!
I may just leave the wheels i have on it at the moment, will change later but not too sure yet. Been looking at some Rota RB's but not certain yet.

Ok few more pictures after a quick clean up.
Full leather Interior........
and engine bay............
Had a look through the box of bits and also found a full set of A4 stainless steel engine bay bolts. Hopefully going to continue fitting all these parts and cleaning up the engine bay even more. Seriously considering entering JAE show and shine this year
Out with the old and in with the new........
While i was up at JDModified i got the car undersealed also, got the car up on the ramps and had a good look underneath. Car is just amazing, couldn't find a single piece of rust on it. Seals, arch's the whole lot was just imaculate. Looks like it has had some sort of underseal from the factory also so that has helped. However the underside of the lexus is like the Titanic, rust everywhere!!!!!!
Have a few plans for the mazda, going to detango and tint the front indicators and begin fitting the stainless bolts. Been looking at a few other parts also but im not in a rush to do anything at the moment.

OH YES!!!!!!!!!
Love it, i know you where saying you wanted one but didn't realise i would actually make you go and get one.........
Need more pics though..............

I was told that the sticking accelerator problem was a load of bull.
Read somewhere that out of all the cases they checked the data from the ecu and in most cases the brake pedal was never touched????
will try and find it..........

Looks pretty Cool.
There is a Blue on the same as this forsale localy to me for £850 but needs some work.
with it only being a 1.6 is it pretty gutless? (same of power to my N/A witch it not that quick) thats what has really put me off them...ohh, and tha gayness
Its pretty good for a 1.6. Mine has stainless exhaust, decat, advanced timing, induction and a few other parts. Its not majorly quick but is dam good for a 1.6. The sound is AMAZING though, i will have to film it so you guys can hear the raspyness. When it gets over 5k it sounds like the gates of hell have just opened.
Not had too may gay comments yet, but if they drove the car they would easily give in to the gay side
Dan if you come along to the Basingstoke meet i will take you out for a quick run in it

Just got home and have been told that my bro, his wife and son are all ok
He had to walk 3 hours to get home as they stopped public transport, he said he was walking quicker than all the people in their cars, but thats normal for Tokyo anyway. Got away lightly me thinks
