  1. my furthest was edinburgh to cardif . lol

    Bloody hell mate! fair play!

I only travelled 3 and half hours for my glanza, Reason being, Cheap/Standard =]

Have been to see a few in the past that have been dogs though, some peoples idea of 'mint' is horrific, I could beat the shit out of some people for wasting my time! Couldn't imagine bus'ing it for 10 hours to find out the car was a peice of shit and the seller had lied through his teeth though!

    =]

  2. Yea, i'm only speaking from experience my friends have had, although i can't see them getting in and warming them up properly before taking them out for a blast which hasnt helped the reliabilty tbh, or maybe they all bought doggy examples =] like i said, i quite like them and have considered them myself, I'd definately rebuild the whole engine before fitting it though like you had damien, just for peace of mind!

  3. Two of my mates binned there's because they were shit and kept breaking down! One of them still has his purple one tho, He's on his 2nd year of owning it and i swear to you mate, He's on his 3rd engine, now he just drives it to and from work. I Had a play with him on one occasion when mine was completely standard, Both went for it and he didnt pass me untill the end of 3rd gear.

Don't get me wrong chris, i do like corsa redtops. My mate let me drive his purple one and its a monstor inside and bundles of fun! Have consider one many a time, but you just never know what your getting yourself into, Who's done the conversion? have they done it properly? Plus its inevitably going to end up with problem after problem. If your pretty handy on motor's and dont mind working on them (i love working on my car) then its not so bad, just don't rely on it to start every morning when you need to get to work =]

  4. These puppies also arrived in the post, Xenon white 9 LED sidelights, Didnt have any at all after removing the yellow ones as it looked gash with my HID's =]

Next on the list, Get wheels back from paintshop + invest in a new stainless system, Manifold/Decat/Cat back

  5. VW diesels will live forever, My old red scirocco was a 1988 1.8 PETROL, and it had 190,000 on the clock, still being driven daily now =]

As for corsa redtop's, They are easy engines to work on, but you'll be working on them every weekend! Three of my friends has Corsa c20xe redtops, There was never a time when they were all on the road, one got fixed, the other one broke.

  6. Yea mick your right mate, However.. It would make conversation so much easier/quicker etc =] and i for one would start more conversations with people knowing i'd get an instant reply, rather than sending pm's waiting for replys etc.

    Just my 2p =]

  7. Greddy type s arrived today.

Have stuck it straight on, it's gonna need fine tuning but i was just wondering how much everyone else has there's 'hard & soft' screw, screwed in? Any pictures?

I'm after that lovely high pitched whistle so if anyone else has one running close to standard boost could you please poke a pic ;p it'll stop me stopping and starting the car to adjust it ;p

  8. yh but how the hell do i get to the bottom one my fat hand don't fit in the limited place provided lol

Use a small socket on a bar/Rachet mate =] I know it works because i did it.

I've got mine set quite low, Haven't had any bother yet. Been behind numerous police cars too. I wouldnt change my HID's back for nothing. i love thee.

  9. I got my hid's in and i dont have much bother, no1's told me i blind them at all.

there's two adjusting screws on the back of your headlight with 'white' hexagon heads, You want to adjust the bottom one so it bring the bottom of the headlight towards the floor. Job done =]

  10. Tbh, initially my tien's seemed a bit funny looking height wise, but Seems to have settled a lot now and isnt to bad.

Depends what kinda of spring your after, My tiens are a sensible height combined with comfortable ride but stiff enough to corner hard.

You may find some that drop 60mm but will bounce around like fuck or break your back with stiffness. This is why so many hit the coilover route, height and damper adjustable for ride comfort =]

  11. What he said ^^ because of your age, i'd go for a very slightly modified GT, Much cheaper for you to insure mate

They'll be loads of GT's around for a very long time yet, It's only the standard ones which will become harder to find for the minute.
