  1. @Jag, cheers man, the corner spats are HRF spats that came from SiKillaMart, courtesy of simon. I've seen a Toms set in NI but never seen another HRF set, i wasnt sure how they would look as they arent as big or agressive looking as the Toms ones but i couldnt be happier with them. @Geo, thank u for your kind words bossman, they really do mean alot to me. i have no plans to change the exterior cosmetics of the car from this point, she is already alot different to anything i ever imagined she would be. the only exterior plans i have are to redo the front number plate as it isnt straight, and a damn good buffin and polish to remove the scuff marks where the lads fitting the spats have rubbed against the car, other than that the focus is on the FTE, some braided lines perhaps as the brakes really arent wonderful and a few more handling parts...oh, and fittin the harness (nearly forgot about that!). u have the same storage box?? have i fitted it in the right place????? i'd love to find more OEM options similar to the storage box, i think there may have been a dash-top unit of some sort for non-passenger-airbag models like mine, similar to the GTs but I've never seen one for sale. @dalester, cheers dude. the handling is much better on the 14s, i will never question Scutch0 again!!!! he was MOST correct! Phil.
  2. see, i also agree with Jag...my brain hurts!!!! either way, i LOVE how it looks right now! top notch work lad! Phil.
  3. cheers dude, i was very impressed with how clean the car was kept by the previous owner (Robbo), it just needs a little attention from Alan D with a pad or two and it will be minty! no there are currently two holes on the boot lid dude, we are awaiting Jay locating stock front and rear badges for her. Phil.
  4. hahaha i wondered how long it would be before someone pointed that out! dont worry man, it bugs me too lol! altho on the plus side, i have had the pleasure of driving it so its ok lol! when his bike arrives this week or next i'll just steal the GT from under his nose lol! Phil.
  5. hahaha cheers jay dude!!!! i dont think she needs spacers tbh, i have a set of momo hub-centric ones here that are mark's that arent doin anythin, but they arent exactly sunk back into the arches, no one at the meet or who has seen it in the flesh has thought spacers were needed altho i thought before fittin that i may need them, i'll look at her tomorrow and consider it. Phil.
  6. lookin goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood my friend! Phil.
  7. oh hell YES!!!!!!!! guys, thats awesome!!! those rims are sweet, and the exhaust looks great!!!! really loving how this car is comin together! cant wait to see the skirts on! Phil.
  8. oh...my...LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!! liam....that looks....fantastic! simple as that dude! cant believe i didnt know about this! i fail!!!!! it just looks awesome, i love the black and green theme dude, very clean!!!! she looks great as she is, i kinda agree with Geo but then again maybe the skirts wouldnt be too much, u remember sicaln's old SR has a smaller spoiler and skirts and it looked great together!!!! much repsect mate, thats stunning! Phil.
  9. dude....that is totally lush!!!! she looks absolutely fantastic! everytime i get online u have new wheels lol!!! they look great mate!!! great work, simple as that! Phil.
  10. thats great news dude!!!!! nice one! Phil.
  11. cheers sam mate! i prefer the windows as they are, i aint aimin for a glanza look tbh, i know the rear end contradicts that statement but the front end doesnt lol. the turbo is just a matter of patience for me now dude, just gotta wait for the go-ahead from Jay and its show time! things are much better now dude yeah thanks, we have settled into our new home and im currently on the hunt for a GOOD career, which if i can find one will make things much better for me and the car. all i need is some home-plugs to get my own PC online again and i'll be back to my old UKSC self again dude. hope all is well with u mate! and the storage box aint for sale lol, im tryin to gather up a bunch of the OEM opitions so the box stays with me sorry! Phil.
  12. Well, this is the announcement i had for u all, apologies for delay, internet service was interupted by BT again. A couple of months back Mark bought this 1995 quad-light off Robbo for a very reasonable price. Robbo kept the car fairly immaculate so it was an easy choice when it came to choosing what EP to buy. The idea was to buy somethin to keep Mark off motorbikes, but this hasnt worked as he has a rather rare machine en-route at present, but hopefully this will get him more involved in the local EP scene here, and indeed we have been hard at work on her already. Since she landed with us we have fitted a cusco front lower strut (donated by me as my car is too low), a momo gear knob and momo steering wheel (now retrimmed in black leather and red stitching), 15" Momo Corse alloys, Potenza street spec spring and dampner combo, unknown-brand back box from Jay, new hand brake cables, and have been swapping robbo's black and blue theme over to a black and red theme, beginning with the hosing in the engine bay, and i have donated the red catch can i had. the car came with an EP styling grille which has been removed and replaced with a much nicer stock item and Jay is locating some stock Toyota badges for her. seats and trim will be left in place as the idea with the car is to have her in factory style spec but with added goodies, such as the cusco strut. we will also be fittin some audio equipment in the near future, and i believe the plan is to go with some rather tasty Ultra Racing handling equipment, again, factory trim but with added goodies. Mark has also got a turbo timer from Jay that will soon be fitted. anyways, enough yammering from me. I hereby proudly present, in association with BadgerSports Inc., Mark's GT. Phil.
  13. si, u dont like the lights now?? ummmm...ok. as for not fillin the arches, meh, everyone has their own opinions, i love them surprise surprise and everyone at the bangor mini meet on sunday loved them so in general its a warm reception. anyways, here's some cleaned shots for your viewin, perhaps change a few minds. the improvements to the handling of the car is worth a small compromise of an inch or two gap in the arches for me, so im over the moon. mini-meet in bangor on sunday nite, al fresco stylee: clearly jay wasn't feelin very well in this VW motor... also, solved the riddle of the OEM storage box: thats pretty much it for now, exhaust for turbo has been arranged with MI16 chris...i think thats his username, and that just leaves the construction of Jay's garage. Phil.
  14. Cheers lads, and rob....fail my ass, its now hammer time!!! ok pics of when i collected her with dent repaired and HRF spats etc etc etc. and now with the Rays and repainted calipers. please excuse the dirt, it was clean the day before but it rained! There we go now! all up to date ...ish! that leaves the storage box to fit. i must say, drivin on 14s is a total dream! the car is so nimble and responsive, and combined with the ARB etc etc its great fun even without the turbo in yet. and the fact that they are lightweight makes her a TINY bit nippier, its most noticeable when pulling away up a hill, with the speedies she was somewhat laboured, but not with these featherlight babies!!! i want a second set for winter now! Phil.
  15. thanks lads. Rays are in the shop at present and i will be collecting and fitting them tomorrow, so at last i will get to see them on the car! i apologise for the lack of pics but i shall try to rectify this with the wheels goin on. Phil.
  16. i dont even wana know. i started to keep a record once and then threw it away as it was very disturbing lol! Phil.
  17. cheers mate, £235 for the tyres i think. takin wheels up tomorrow, tyre guy is off so i'll have to go back for them on saturday. then i'll repaint each caliper as i change each wheel and fit the Rays nuts. so, sould have some funky pics with the spats and wheels all together soon. Phil.
  18. James my friend, i am simply thankful that u are still among us and among your friends and family. i hope and pray that u are truly on the mend. take care of yourself dude and thank you for having the courage to openly discuss this with us. My thoughts are with u and everyone else involved. i hope everyone takes heed of this topic, i know it has made me think long and hard about my car, driving, country roads and safety in general. take care everyone! Phil.
  19. Indeed, the Badger Set now has broadband, usin my sis's laptop until i get some home plugs so i can get my own PC online again. arranged tyres yesterday from MotorSport and Spares Ballymena, so hopefully i'll go get them fitted one day this week or next all bein well, we've gone with 195/45/14 Continentals (as thats wot they had in stock and they assure me they are a damn good tyre, that the rim should look bigger thanks to the 45 profile rather then the 55 we were goin for, and the car should sit even lower....altho, this could be a problem with carol's lane, we wait and see). so, once, they are on the wheels and nuts will go on and that just leaves the FTE to sort with jay. progress at last! Phil.
  20. ok, broadband is in and workin quicker than anticipated, at carol's right now tho. had the car looked at yesterday, suspension is fine, turns out the ARB wasn't lubed at all so was makin nasty noises inside the bushes. also, drivers wind deflector has been stuck on with windowm adhesive as they used to be so that shouldnt come off. what this also means of course is....tyres for the 14s, which is exactly what im off to do right now!!!! the time has come! points for harness mounts are also chosen, so just need to get on with that too. i have to say tho, u lot were correct, my mechanic is a rally guy and when i mentioned the crutch strap he confirmed the "degloving" stuff and explained how it happens. i may go ahead and fit the cructh strap anyway and just not use it unless i ever put her on a track as the main threat of degloving comes from high speed (80-90mph) head on collisions, so i may fit it, undecided. pics of Project BadgerSport to follow over the next few days now we have some real internet again, aswell as the major EP annoucement from the land of the Badger! now, off to order tyres! Phil.
  21. OK. First things first, landline is in and my 'broadband' should be active by monday nite all being well. that being said, the service where we live now is CRAP, Sky have estimated a speed of around 512k which is barely broadband, possibly up to 1mb if im lucky. the dongle runs at around 256k or somethin rubbish AT BEST tho so any hardline will be an improvement and i can actually start getting back online regularly again and get some pics thrown up. Project BadgerSport - today i received a Blitz EBC from Sparky that was posted yesterday so thats wot i call service! thats added to the FTE pile. I have picked up a stone dent on the nose of the bonnet on the motorway of all places, great big pebble, a week after repairs, fuckin sickened with this i really am. If i can ever get a hold of Alan D i will ask him some advice. I still cant get the storage box fitted so if anyone has any pics could they pleae forward them to me! IMMEDIATELY! One wind deflector has come off, not impressed at all, so i need to get some GOOD tape to do it myself, Nath has advised me on the right stuff. Some wee c*nt scratched my bonnet with one of them f*ckin Magnetic red Noses, so again Alan D needs to see the car, its only surface damage but still. so, i have arranged for secure parking for the car from now on when im on evening shifts at work. My drivers side rear suspension is making HORRIBLE dry grinding noises and tap-tap-tapping noises that has me rather concerned and honestly kinda scared at speed as i use motorways to get to work now. I've checked the ARB and RSR and its not them, the shocks are dry so it must be the spring on its way out. hopefully i can find some replacement suspension before somethin collapses on me. I had planned to order tyres for the 14s this week but this suspension issue may put that back. if anyone has any GOOD aftermarket suspension (either spring/dampner combo or Coilies such as D2s) please contact me on my MOBILE immediately! On a positive note, i will have a MAJOR starlet announcement in the very near future, those of u who know keep schtum! once i have 'broadband' it will be easier to explain as this connection SUCKS!!!!!!! i promise tho u will like the announcement. Phil.
  22. i will endeavour to meet your demands chaps. the only stop-gap on the road to the FTE from here is tyres for the Volks, had some word from Jay recently about the exhuast and the clutch, weejohn inspected the clutch and it appears to be an aftermarket item of unknown brand, should do nicely thanking you! so, exhaust is almost sorted, that pretty much just leaves an FMIC to arrange i believe and we should be good to go or near enough!!! still no sign of BT...on the count of three please everyone...1, 2, 3 BBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BT!! BBBOOOOOOOOOOO!! Phil.
  23. nice progress dude! keep it up! Phil.
  24. some SEXUAL parts there my friend!!! really movin now!!! keep it up! was in with the C man today, i believe u may have been in to see him recently too, u sneaky sneaky boy u!!!! some guy in his workshop actually came over to me and said "is that the young chinese man's car??"...to which i replied "no, but they do have similar exterior qualities" lol, quality!!! keep up the great work man! Phil.
  25. Brief Update The Bitch is BACK!!!! collected Project BadgerSport from CH Motorsport in Ballymartin today, with all work completed. Fender bars, ARB, wind deflectors, dent repair, bumper repair, bonnet tocuh-up from where i had a small oppsie and the HRF spats fitted with the screw hole flushed over. didnt get a chance to test out the new handling parts on the way home due to slow ass grannies, but she defo feels tighter and more responsive in the turn-in. the spats really give the back end another dimension too, not so much from a head-on angle, more when u look at the car side-on, so really happy with them. all i need is some inner rear arch things and its all buttoned together. cost me a little more than i anticiapted so no tyres for the rays this month. also, moved house last week, recpetion on dongle is a bit weak here but BT engineer is on order so once i get a phone number i can ring Sky and get some broadband rollin again. Phil.
