  3. i aint even gonna try to download pics of the car! im just gonna take my own on the 25th! Phil.
  4. wow, thanks for all the kind comments lads!!! wasn't expecting any of that!!! really means alot to me. not alot goin on right now tbh, im more concerned with tidying up the GT even tho it aint mine, i cant help myself!!!! tryin to find an OEM EP91 dash top storage tray but the last one on the auctions was goin for over £100!! get stuffed!!! maybe someday i'll be anal enough to pay that, but right now thats needed for FTE things! gotta be honest about these Continental tyres tho, in the dry they're grand, in the wet they are not impressive at all. i have no trust in her at all in the wet, which please me not. after the dash-top tray i dont know where to turn in terms of OEM parts. footwell illumination?? but i dont know how the factory fitted these as there are no recesses in my dash plastics to house the wee plastic bits with the bulb in them. answers on a postcard. i know Fishy's Glanza (Ecksjay's old car) has them but gettin a pic could be a pain. what other OEM goodies are there?? time for another flick through Jay's catalogues. is fitting one of the OEM shoe racks too sad?? i say....perhaps! Phil.
  5. very nice!!!! like that alot! Phil.

  7. yeah, spoke with Jay regarding the various options available, so looks like he and mark have devised a game plan. Phil.
  8. illuminated ignition barrel = winner!!! sam = winner, simply for illuminated ignition barrel! Phil.
  9. dude, i dont know how u do that. i never sleep right or get settled when my car is anywhere but in my own drivway or my girlfriend's parents house. i parked in our uni campus 3/4 times last yr when i stayed with her and i shit my pants the whole time. how u leave it for 2/3 days in a dodgey area i dont know man! esp as your car stands out so much! i mean these c-pillar bars alone attract attention never mind a bonnet vent! u have done well to have avoided damage thus far mate, as u well know, people can be pure scum just for the sake of it. im honestly relieved that there was no lasting damage dude, seriously. paint damage is not fun, been there done that. i know it might suck but perhaps the train for 2/3 months might be a safer option. i'm sure your mrs would understand if its only until she moves home again. i only see my mrs for 2 days a week and we live an hour apart, i know how much it sucks man, but hang in there and be safe with the car bro! Phil.
  10. hope it sells for u ASAP! Phil.
  11. its one niggily STUPID problem-that-shouldnt-be-a-problem after another with this car so far. as mark said, because i said it in the garage earlier, two steps forward and one step back. sound system is finished, exhuast should have been a piece of piss, few bolts, learn as we go along, but no. one of them was already badly rounded and it didnt take much to make it worse. vice-grips, needle-nose-vice-grips, nothing budged it. and all the dremel has succeeded in doin is to fuse the nut to the damn bolt. it should have been so simple but no, another stupid problem thats barey worth being annoyed about but just pisses u off, especially when all mark wants to do is DRIVE the damn thing, but the blowing exhuast doesnt aid performance or fuel consumption. we'll get it sorted, would just have been nice to have had it finished in one evening. perhaps the easiest option rather than cutting the bolt off and the drilling it out is to simply drop the cat off too and replace it with a decat. recommend a GOOD decat anyone? Phil.
  12. i have a Yaris rear wiper on mine. tis MUCH nicer than the stock item as its moulded plastic. piece of piss to fit, the only awkward part is persuading the bolt to come off as its been on there for a few years by now lol! Phil.
  13. nice collection of parts there! bargin too!!!! lookin forward to seein this project develop! keep us updated! Phil.
  14. orange Toyota badges would be ace! Phil.

  19. i see wot u mean about marmite....for the first 10 secs i was like "ummmmm yeah there is somethin missin, maybe the lip in a different colour perhaps? like silver?" but the more i look at it the more i like it mate! honest. its bold and in your face, really liking it alot actually! especially with the calipers!!! silver and orange is such a lush theme! great work mate! Phil. edit* - u know wot might actually help, a windshield decal. Somethin similar to mine, a nice simple TRD or TTE in bold lettering in orange. or wot about havin Kevink order u an orange JAM decal?? just somethin tasteful at the front to add to the orange to help blend the wheels in with the exterior a bit more?? am i making sense or rambling? The lettering on the decal would have to be broad like what on mine, not skinny letterin as it wouldnt complement the wheels as much...u get the idea, i'll shut up now.
  20. ah lads thats a real bitch that!!! but at least u have plan B to fall back on which will allow u to continue to make progress with this motor! hope the 2nd engine goes better for u! Phil.
