ok found the green plug...and removed said plug...started engine...temp needle rose!! the bastard! so its a wiring problem and im fairly sure i know where the problem lies so hopefully it wont be too obnoxious to fix!!! thanks for the help guys, very much appreciated!!!! helped me get to the bottom of this! although the Gmax 40mm springs are as stiff as a perve in a strip joint i have to say i have no real complaints about them so far (touch wood!) and I've had them on standard shocks for about 3yrs or so now i think. Phil.

my temp needle (far left of an SR clsuter) is reading off the scale and has been since i set out for JAE, thing is tho its a false reading as the ngine aint overheating at all, all seems totally normal under the bonnet. the mechanic has seen the radiator and says its fine nothin wrong there. so wot could have died to cause a false reading through the cluster then folks???? any help would be sweet thanks as im baffled.
