  1. If you look at pics of my car from about 8 years back you'll see that we removed the rear seats, put a 15 inch (I think, cant remember) sub into the spare wheel well and put a false floor in the boot and rear seat area. The amp was mounted to the false floor in the boot and we put 6x9s into the rear inner door cards.

All told it was pretty neat and tidy.

Its not to everyones tastes as is obvious above, but if music is an important part of your day/drive, then no reason you cant do it, not like the car hasnt got a turbo to pull the weight, but again, opinions and analogies to bodily orifices and all that shit.

    Have at it I say.

  2. Welcome to the site bud.

I will have two days in Tokyo in mid september to do some sight seeing. Sadly I think Daikoku is out of the question as a hire car is required and I wouldnt fancy tackling the tolls etc, but hoping I'll see plenty of machinery on the streeys of Tokyo!

Keep us updated on how you get on modifying an EP in the motherland!!!!!!

  3. Update

Will need to get some pictorial evidence, however over the last week or so the dash mat has gone in, all gauges remounted, Apexi tacho installed and rear MeisterR coilovers installed.

Next on the list is debugging a lighting issue with the other gauges, and front coilovers. Also had a good look around the rear of the car with Joel on sunday and we've established that rear discs and pads, as well as a clean up and waxoil of the fuel tank and rear brake hard pipes will be required pre-MOT.

    Two forward, one back lol.

    The list:

Fit new suspension, anti-lift kit and lower arm parts - rears done

    Geometry set up

Fit oil filter relocator - ready to fit

Wire in all Apexi gauges - done, just need to connect sensors for oil and water

    Fit dash mat - done

    Weld in spare wheel mount

    Fix bumper support bar
    Address rear floor

    Headlight alignment

    Oil change

Address rear brakes and tighten handbrake (these 3 are all MOT items)

Fix speedo and speed reader - cable was out

    Paint and fit new bonnet

Fit parking pole and wire in

Fit Apexi Rev counter and wire in - done

Passenger side repeater seems to be dead, likely a broken wire, needs resolved pre-MOT - seemed to be an issue with old and new bulb, stock orange bulb has fixed it

    New rear discs and pads

Clean, smooth and paint rear brake hard pipes

Clean up and waxoil fuel tank

    Long Finger Items:

    Boost controller needs replaced

    Air fuel ratio gauge
    Wideband gauge
    Upgrade front ARB

    WEPR stock replacement exhaust mani

  4. my thread is now 110 pages, and likely only the last 10 at the very most will be using the direct upload feature. Probably only the last 5. S0, 105 pages with photobucket links now gone.

Be easier to generate a blog style page and just work slowly through the files on my home PC but again, 12 years worth. Fuck that.

    Phil.

  5. Update

Believe it or not I am actually getting somwhere, albeit slowly.

All 4 calipers have had a fresh lick of Hammerite Hammered Black.

Over the weekend I paid a visit to Jay and collected a couple of bits he sourced from The Mother Land for me:

OEM EP91 rigid illuminated parking pole :

Quick mock up by hand, will need the bumper off to site it properly I think:

This one took a while to find, although not as long as the pressure gauge did a few years back - Apexi Tacho complete with shift light - this thing is immaculate:

    post-51-0-68743200-1500283245_thumb.jpg

All gauges have been removed from the dash in preparation for fitting the dash mat; I've dismantled the cluster and am in the process of tracing the existing tacho wires as they should be straight forward swap over job for this new one, so hopefully that wont take long and I can then reconstruct the dash.

My apologies again that some of the images are rotating upon upload, I've asked Trisk to look into it but hopefully an update to the forum software will resolve.

I've also just noticed that the Photobucket change has f**ked with the earlier pages of the thread from before the direct upload was possible. In summary: thats a right bollox that!

  6. hmmmmm, its longer than I would like it to be:

  7. Update

Fairly productive weekend this week - I had wrapped the cold side FMIC intake pipe in gold reflective tape earlier in the week so refitted that, along with a brand new battery (AT LAST!! Only took about 5 years) and an RW Developments battery clamp I've had knocking about for years too that I had powder coated last year.

    post-51-0-87346300-1498460909_thumb.jpg

I also stood pondering where else to apply some tape so ended up doing the EFI pipe too - not just as neat as the job on the FMIC pipe due to the contours on the rear of the EFI pipe but still tidier than some of the crease-jobs you see online:

Then it was time for some spacers - the Volks are great, but have always sat in too far, as you can see here with my weak stance game:

    post-51-0-25764400-1498461060_thumb.jpg

My brother had a set of spacers that were 5mm at the rear and 2.5mm at the front (brand unknown) so I thought I'd try them out - pretty pleased with the results considering they cost me nothing, and certainly a noticable improvement to the position of the wheels:

I apologise again that the pics are auto-rotating. Trisk is looking into this error and hopefully can resolve it ASAP as its annoying AF.

Still plenty to do to get her ready for MOT, but the jobs on the to-do list are slowly being ticked off.

  8. Update

Well blow me down with a feather, an actual update.

GaragEP Global HQ recently relocated back to the beautiful Antrim Coast and yesterday we took advantage of the lovely warm dry weather to go and fetch Project BadgerSport and dig her out from her cave. Started first time as always, and other than a sticky caliper that soon worked its way loose, all was well.

Naturally the urge to get stuck in was strong, so a couple of changes were immediately made in the sunshine (note, I have NO idea why these images are rotating when they upload as the original files arent rotated - apologies).

Before - tidy enough but far from perfect, terrible gaps, just a bad fitment:

    post-51-0-59835700-1496041441_thumb.jpg

    And after - much better:

    post-51-0-88559900-1496041703_thumb.jpg

Then it was onto the interior lighting arrangements; to date this has been the stock UK spec dome light but with a somewhat out of date blue LED arrangement ("Oh dear Phil, you're in your 30s now!" I hear you cry), time for something from the options catalogue:

    post-51-0-53117200-1496041841_thumb.jpg

Just a note for anyone thinking of a Clean Ace for their UK spec, be aware that the mount on the roof and the bracket for the Clean Ace do not tie up at all, clearly the GT and/or V mounts are a more substantial item than the UK specs - this required some DIY bodgery to fit.

Dash mat and gold tape and Meisters and a good clean and maybe swapping on the Rays as well as the lower arms etc etc etc all to tackle now that she's finally home. Anyone who wants to come assist with any of those tasks will be renumerated with hot beverages.

    Phil.

  9. It was just plain mate, relatively standard, all silver with blue or purple wheels.....well the roof could have been black, I dont think it was though but the bonnet was defo silver.

Hadnt seen a starlet here in months then seen 2 in one day haha.

When did you move over and are you here to stay??

If so we'll need to induct you into the NorthStars group!
