  1. yeah you were right mate, i found a crack on a joint in my intercooler piping, all fixed now. thanks for the suggestions everyone. Tony
  2. Hi guys, Right, a question for you, a couple of weeks ago i was driving along in the glanza, and suddenly my boost gauge just read 0.2 bar of boost in high. i checked the actuator and it was really sloppy, so i assumed that the actuator went. i bought an HKS actuator 2 days ago and fitted it today, and frustratingly it is still just running 0.2 bar of boost. The bar on the actuator has been set at 128mm which should i believe be 0.5bar. i've checked all connections and they seem fine, i've re-set the ECU, i've removed the vacuum pipe off the actuator (at this point it should run infinat
  3. Thanks mate, At the minute i have a FMIC, HKS FCD, Exhuast, the Mani & de-cat are to be fitted. the HKS Actuator is on the shopping list, as is a Sard and a AVC-R. Thanks for your help mate, One more thing, what did you have your sard set as? The reason i ask is related to my first post about the FSE PBV, as the garage i took it to had a right game to set it up, we tried to get to 2.5bar without vacuum, which then droped to 1 bar with vacuum, and it idled really lumpy. we spoke to FSE and they said at most the drop should be 0.75 bar, not 1.5 Bar!!!!! Hence why i say FSE are Shite.
  4. with the Mani and down pipe - 0.5bar low boost, 0.85 - 0.9 high boost. (about the same as now) when i'm dragging it, i would like to push it to 1.0bar, possibly 1.1bar (when i get a AVC-R) i suppose there is a forth option i forgot to put down, 4. Power FC
  5. Hi, A quick question for you guy's. Currantly my Glanza as the following Engine mods - Front Mount Intercooler, Cat-Back 2 1/2" Exhuast, and i have just bought and recieved from Road Runner the Uprated Mani and Seperated Down Pipe (which i have to say look the Dog's ...........) anyway, i am worried about the fueling. I have tried the FSE PBV way, and to be honest the FSE is shite, absolutely terrible. so i am either considering - 1. a Sard or Weber Fuel Reg, with possible bigger injectors and uprated Fuel Pump. (quite a rough way, i think) 2. Greddy E-manage 3. or a Apexi SAFC I hav'n
  6. $4500 they are really trying to bend you over with that! Which insurer was that? Have you got any kind of written quote? either a hard copy or via their website? cause if you have, surely they can't back out? and i am dammed sure they can't withold the information why they want to increase the premium. In terms of insurance how old are you, how many NCB's do you have, how long have you been driving? I only ask because i'm 26, 0 NCB's (all on my Celica) and 3 years driving and through elephant i pay £500 TPFT on my Glanza V. I got the quote over the internet and i phoned them up t
  7. Looks really good Geo Mate. Good Luck with the fitting of the bits. Tony
  8. Stunning car mate. is it the S14 or S14a? can never remember the diferance between them tony
  9. i think i'll have a good look at it next time i drive it, and see if there is and change. Thanks for confirming that for me mate. Cheers
  10. Well, to be honest, you can drive the auto like you do a manual, because you can lock it in first and second gear from drive, so just say your thrashing it through some country lanes and you come to a hairpin or really sharp corner you can drop it from Drive into Second gear as you would a manual and power on through. plus when your driving through town or in a traffic jam, it makes life so much simpler, it is just like driving a go-kart (i know it sounds daft), stop and go. Plus you can turn the "over-drive" off which when you accelerate and then let off it doe'nt just change gear straigh
  11. i know i'm new here, and don't know you but well done mate. good on ya. tony
  12. Nah mate, it's just lowering springs, standard shocks with spax springs (40mm drop). And thanks again for the comments and the warm welcome, it's nice to find a frendly site. Tony
  13. i don't know what the D2 suspention's like, but i have Spax (i will be getting a decent set-up at some point, Tein or D2 or alike) and the ride is really harsh at times, really back-breaking.
  14. lol, on friday when me, jim and zara drove down i was happy i took the celica (just so comfy on the motorway) but then all day saturday and sunday i wished i was in the Glanza . arh well, theres always next year ;)
  15. did your engine go bang?, gutted for you if it did. will it be N/A or Turbo? ;) thanks jim, i told you when i bought it that if i could get my glanza anywhere near yours i would be happy (performance and looks), you know how much i liked yours. Thanks again for all your comments Tony
