They make a bloody oily mess on your engine cover. The crankcase has a pipe that recirculates oil vapor into the intake pipe/dump valve. Most peeps remove the pipe/dumpvalve and or intake pipe so renering the pipe from the crankcase useless. A much better idea is to fit a catch can to collect the oil vapor instead.

You musta had a stonechip there anyway to have that happen,so if there was one then it's your own fault for not getting it repaired. I've had it happen on a fairly smooth piece of road before now. As for the roads.....yep they are shite but if you don't like it then i'm afraid theres not a great deal you can do.

It's not major job to do,no idea on cost tho. Any garage can do it as it's gonna be similar/same as a uk starlet.

I can be quite blunt at times but as many on here know i will happily help those who first have tried helping themselves first. It does annoy me at times that people can type a question on a forum but not into a search engine and look for themselves! With all due respect mate a quick search on ebay would throw up dozens of silicone hoses that will do what you want. A simple search of google would show you millions i expect. It may be you have taken it the wrong way but i wasn't taking the piss.
