  1. The postcodes don't work really either. My house is in the sticks and is a C grade because the postal code (first 3 or 4 digits/letters) is a really big area. Whereas my boyfriends house is in town and is a grade B.

Grade A is lowest and F highest if i remember rightly!

More likely to be robbed in the sticks hun!

No-one to see or hear whats going on :p

  2. just bout to go on a drive there, noticed lots and lots of thick smoke/steam coming out of my exhaust was thinking thats not from my car, then relised it is, what the hell has happend?? my dad rekons its the head.

    i dont have a clue??

goooood man feel so pisssed off bout this stupid car!!!!

    pleeese help me again.

    How does it smell??

    Sweet or oily?

Looked in the rad cap to see if theres oil in the coolant??

Looked under the oil filler cap for mayo???

  3. Buy a car on condition of it not the miles :surrender:

It may have had some hammer but what starlet hasn't??? Whats to say the "standard" one wasn't modded before and put back to standard for sale.

If the mods are in good condition and fitted properly etc i would go modded as it will potentially save you mucho cash in the long run. It could also bite you on the ass if the coilies are leaking etc. Check for a FCD as they are often not set up right which could cost a lot to sort :drunk2:

  4. I would have one but they need a bit more oomph really! The altezza would be my choice, or you could pick up a tidy N/A supra for 4K

Theres a lot of IS200's on auto trader well below 4K with as little as 60K on the clock

  5. So no boost gauge and you say it's boosting to 0.9 bar?? :)

How the chuff can you say that with no gauge???

The 3 lights on the dash mean next to nothing in the real world except showing that you are on boost!! :)

The exhaust will be causing it to cut in the colder air recently, You should feel it about to hit cut before it actually does it it will hesitate slightly then if you are a numpty and keep pushing it you get the bang of it cutting the fuel.

Get the basics sorted out before you go faffing around with upping the boost. :p

  6. Shame it's a VW! Sounds nice but i really don't like the VAG cars reliability! It's really not as good as folk think!!!

Personally i woulda had a nice Toyota caldina or mitsubishi legnum VR4 estate at less than 1/3 of the costs!!!

The main thing is you guys like it and all the best with it. :D
